I'd love to. The game rewards punching above your weight significantly. I'd run around it, while that huge battleship turret fails to track then start plinking away at its sides.

I saw a churchill last night, one of the soviet "golden" tanks. That poor bastard almost died to my A20 because he utterly failed to track it, while i shot his tracks, his fuel, his ammo, his engine, his tracks again. I rarely get angry at so called kill stealers, but i really regret not being able to shoot the final 4 hp off that thing.

Why is a Churchill a Soviet tank? Was Winston hiding something all those years?

I was playing a match with a Maus on my team. I'm not all too sure it's all that more competent than a King Tiger or IS3 (unless it's facing one of them). The gun is complete overkill for anything but those two tanks.

I'm not sure there's much of a point to that thing.

In a light tank you could probably keep him busy for hours trying to track you.

Yeah, yeah, go use history to ruin the joke! Though I think they had something like less than 300 Churchills (lots of Shermans and such though), and you'd think a Soviet premium tank would be, like, a T-34/85 or a IS-II or something....

Thanks for the encouragement on the A20 and Marder. I powered through until I got the engine and turret unlocked for the A20, and a better gun on the Marder. I am now very happy with both - the A20 can indeed zip around, and that turret added a TON of survivability somehow, and the gun upgrade on the Marder is just bliss. I'll probably stick with both of these for some time (my ultimate goal is the T34/85 for sentimental reasons :).

I had some success playing the German Bison SPG (fully upgraded) against the big boys.

And even if i get wasted its much cheaper to repair than my Pz 3 medium.

A Bison can definitely have a place in standard battles. My best score in a standard battle with my Bison was four kills, and five damages. You're no longer one-shotting tanks but every little bit helps.

Tip of the day: Click 'depot' and then go to modules and SELL ALL YOUR JUNK. I made 60k selling old modules. Will take a bit to click through the 'can be fitted' and 'can not be fitted' options but the end result is a ton more money.

My handle is the same as here.

I just started playing tonight and I have been enjoying it. Had a fun round where I had upgraded the gun on my BT-2 and forgot to give it a loadout of ammo for the new gun. Imagine my surprise as the round starts and I see I have no ammo. :) So I charged into their base area and ran around like a fool trying to get them to shoot at me instead of other people.

Three days of hard fighting with Premium turned on and I earned enough to buy the VK3601(H). Also hit 100% on crew and am gaining bonus skills.

What I'm most happy about though is I finally got my Pzkw IV crew back to an even win-loss record. 269 battles, 132 wins, 132 losses. I was down by 24 losses at one point. Yay I am no longer a detriment to my team!!!

Really? Hmm, I thought I did this earlier today and they finally added the "you have no ammo" prompt.

Oh, maybe that's only when you change turrets vs. buying a new barrel. That needs to be fixed, because I've done that LOTS.

Well, was having an interesting game with ChanVR, then got kicked out of the server and cannot connect again.

Maybe they are patching? Or perhaps just rebooting the servers.

They definitely need some way of balancing/separating the tier 3 stuff. At the moment there is just about no reason for me to play my BT-7. If I try to scout, I get blown to pieces by the first enemy to see me. If I stay back, I get clobbered by a long range sniper shot or artillery.

I get almost no experience and next to no money after repairs.

In theory you can face off against the other light tanks/scouts, unfortunately what usually happens is that those are picked off by your higher tier friends before you get a chance. Or you see any other opponent first.

    Not impossible, but, frustrating.

I made my money with a TD while I had PZIII. Scouting can work though, my best mission I tagged ten tanks that ended up getting killed and I netted 10,000 credits for it.

definitely the trick with the BT-7 was to focus on scouting and movement and not even to try to kill anything. I had several 5k + matches from spotting alone. You want to get there fast, but not before your SPG's are in position or it's for naught.

For the ones in the crappy cannon tanks in the normal battles, try using HE ammo so you can atleast do some damage and get more exp.

For the dude in Bt-7, just never stand still, keep moving and provide spotting as long as you can while firing at whatever you can see, in addition you can also instead protect your base from fast attackers.

i wonder which tank is the most efficient money maker. I'm leaning towards a light one, a20 or leopard....

Another point in favor of the light tanks is that they are knocked out quicker, therefore you can move on to the next match (and more credits) sooner.

    You guys have it wrong.

You need two tanks going. One medium/heavy and one light. You always start with the light and suicide rush scout with it. Then you play the medium as smart as you need. If the light is back up, repeat. If not, go play your medium.

I never stop if I'm in a light tank - a single hit will kill you, and you will never see it coming.

The Leopard can take a shocking amount of hits. Apparently it was designed as a mini-Panther tank. There are times when I've taken six or more hits and kept rolling. Of course there are times when I'm one shot killed, but even my VK3601(H) has been one shot killed.

I do agree that you should never stop though. At minimum I go in wide weavy circles, like when I'm trying to not get to far ahead of a group of heavies and mediums I'm scouting for. Not only does moving make you a harder target, it takes valuable time to get up to speed, better to keep momentum going at all times.

The leopard needs some help in the track department. You get tracked pretty easily in that beast. They need to add in a track protection equipment module that will work for light / medium tanks that you scout with. Make it like 500k and it'll really put some interesting play in to scouts if you ask me.
