Reiner Knizia's Labyrinth and Through the Desert are both out. The former is an excellent solitaire puzzle and the latter is one of the best area control abstracts ever designed.
Yoot Tower is out for the iPad now: http://itunes.apple.com/app/yoot-tow...79197311?mt=8#

I just realized that I am afraid to sit down and calculate how much money I have spent on iPad and iPhone games in the past year.
Helsing's Fire HD is out, and it's gorgeous, and it's cheap.
I also noticed the dorks who are putting shameless copies of Heroes of Might and Magic up for the iPhone are now doing the same for the iPad. I bit on Heroes 2 for $3, and it's actually playable now that there's a screen large enough that you can accurately tap things. Makes me wish we had all sorts of old DOS and Windows games for this platform.
Oh, and I've had all sorts of trouble with my wifi since the last update, getting .5Mbps from a connection that everything else pulls 15-20Mbps from. I turned off wireless security today and the iPad shot back up to those latter numbers. F Apple and their crappy programmers.
Pocket god journey to Uranus is out today too, i posted in the iPhone thread but believe it is iPad only
Those would have to be some big pockets.
Been playing a lot of Robokill lately. You can demo the flash version on the PC here or grab the iPad version here. It's a twin stick shooter but one I actually love, probably because of the upgrade options (4 interchangeable guns and 4 misc options). Controls are all spot on and you get plenty of levels for the money.
I imagine they will port Robokill 2 over the from PC flash version too eventually, will be buying that day one too.
The first episode of Tales from Monkey Island just came out. I'm not sure what the point is of getting it. They never released any of the other Sam & Max or Wallace & Gromit games and even if they had they were apparently never rendered actually playable. So... if you hate Monkey Island, I suppose this is the best way to experience it?
Through the Desert from Knizia is out, but it's $5.99. I'm still playing Ra, so I think I'll wait for a sale.
Yoot Tower/The Tower is also now out, but for $8 I think I'll wait... a while.
Yeah, I don't really understand their strategy here.
I was all excited to hear that they were doing Sam & Max for the iPad, but what they actually released was a complete turd and they just never fucking fixed it.
Hell, they didn't even really acknowledge that they'd fucked up.
How the hell do they expect people to trust them with future iPad releases now?
I was jazzed to hear that Back to the Future would be coming to the iPad, but after hearing what a shit job Telltale has done with their other iPad games, it just makes me sad.
Edit: But enough talking about shitty shitty shit shit adventure games! Broken Sword 2 comes out today and it is awesome! And a universal app!
I'm almost also tempted to trip down the nostalgia trail and see if the newly-released port of 7th Guest is any good. I remember thinking the original game was good...when it was new and I played it, and then when I came back to it a few years later it hadn't aged well at all.
Might as well mention it here in the appropriate thread too: for some reason NFS Hot Pursuit HD (iPad) is 99 cents right now, down from $9.99. I don't know if it's any good, but that's quite the discount.
Space Miner HD!
Space Miner HD
How did I not know this was coming?
Holy shit at these sales! I bought the NFS for iPad and iPhone, and they work awesomely in local multiplayer!
And Scrabble HD is worth 1$ only formthe ridiculous tile rack gimmick, tht works incredibly well. The holidays will be awesome now, thanks Tracy ofr pointing thus out!
And Pictureka looks very awesome! Can't wait to try it out with friends!
Which of those EA apps are actually any good?
Edit: Are the Sims 3 games any good? Any reason to get the original over one of the expansions? Do the expansions still let you play "sandbox" without specific goals?

Grabbed Mirror's Edge for the iPad while it is on sale. Awesome game so far, definitely worth the price.
Wow. A *bunch* of great new games released last night. Aralon (universal), Dungeon Defenders (universal), Dungeon Hunter 2 HD, World of Goo, Space Miner HD.
I hope no one paid $3.99 for Pix'n Love Rush DX for iPad this morning, since they've already lowered the price to $1.99.
For those of you who have played Memoir '44, Commands & Colors, or BattleLore: http://www.vikinglordsgame.com/ is a $3.99 app that seems to basically implement the exact same game mechanics with a Viking theme. Bought it, haven't tried it yet. Supports realtime online play, so if this is a good implementation I think the summary here is "I will never need to pay subscription fees for Memoir '44 Online because seriously bite me guys."
EDIT: Played it. Definitely good enough to substitute for M44 Online for me. It hides the die rolls, just showing you the result, which is something that I wish more boardgame conversions would do.

Sam & max is .99. Though as angrily covered above, it is not great.
...is now on sale. And is awesome.
Also the Wallace and Gromit game is on sale just like Sam and Max was. Not sure if it's a better port than Sam and Max was, but I can't see myself buying in if no other reason than that they never bother porting anything but the first game in the series and all Telltale games are like 5 episodes long at least. Puzzle Agent is also on sale, but no one seems to like it.
Jenga HD is on sale as well! Is $.99 too much to spend just to see how the hell they decided to adapt as physical a game as Jenga to iOS? That's up to you to decide!
