I think I'm going to get a whiteboard and go to one of these things and just calmly write down their sign correctly and explain where they went wrong. That seems to infuriate people on the internet well enough, it should be dynamite in person.
H.
I can't believe I didn't think of that. I am genuinely miffed.

This is my favorite :)
Goldanged Liberials, go back to Liberia.

How could you manage to spell it right the first time then spell it wrong, in two completely different ways, the next two? Teabonics indeed.
I can't wait to see the Tea Party protest signs for Obama's education bill.
Posted this on my Facebook page. Fellow lawyer pointed out grammar error in my post. Karma is a bitch.
Yeah, tell that to Jesus, buddy! Loaves and fishes, my ass!
I'm pretty sure poor white people with a gross family income of $40k won't be having their wealth spread. Rather the opposite.
Anti thinks "Teabonics" is a cool word too. I can tell :)
Not really.
Tea Party protesters are idiots, sure, but you go to any protest and you're going to see misspelled signs held by idiots with nothing better to do then stand around and shout things at no one in particular. At least these idiots are not smashing the local starbucks windows or blocking streets.
You may be correct but I would claim that the left has a better class of idiot than the right.
How so? There's purported racism at tea-party protests, but you go to any anti-war protest and you see antisemitic (And I don't mean Anti-Zoinist) epitaphs. People are flipping the fuck out over an empty coffin that had nothing to do with anything, but seeing bush dolls being hung at anti-bush protests was pretty fucking common.
"OH SHIT IT'S AN ANGRY MOB MARCHING ON WASHINGTON!!" uh, no it isn't. A mob would be off beheading Marquis Bernard-Rene de Launay and parading around the capital with his head on a pike. This is just a bunch of annoyed white dudes that would probably have a heart attack if they saw a band of cops in riot gear charge them.
Bullshit false equivalence.
People have been in front of city hall protesting the war/occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan every day for years in my town. I've never once seen them with a sign worthy of Teabonics.
Such protesters are also in my experience actually familiar with what's going on in the world, and not prone to "Where's the Birth Certificate" looniness.
"9/11 Was an Inside Job" doesn't ring a bell?
"No Blood for Oil" also doesn't ring a bell? (not that establishing American democracy by use of force is a much better explanation)
"Hail to the Thief" and the questioning of his legitimacy as president, conspiracy theories of Republicans in power fixing the election, that doesn't ring a bell?
