Looking at it more closely, how did he manage to kick the ball into his own face? Ouch!
I can see how it all happened though, as he had to go for it -- otherwise the second option blue forward would've scored it easily.

Er, no. It's a goal by Javier Hernandez of Man Utd against Chelsea. The guys in blue are all Chelsea defenders. #2, Ashley Cole, was tracking the guy who did cross but failed to block it, which is why he's in shot. He's the left-back so wouldn't be attacking on that side.
Think that was Hernandez's first goal for Utd. He's scored a lot better ones :)

That strikes me as fake. He's reaching for it exactly where it's coming before he even sees it... it's all just a bit too far ahead of ~.15s human reaction speed.
Hard to see just where/how they faked it though.

If you guys think that Longoria catch is impressive, you have GOT to see LeBron hit full court shots.
The hit ball is CG. The guy in back just swings the bat, Longoria reaches back to a prearranged point, pretends to catch, brings his hand down out of frame and transfers the real ball (hidden in his left hand the whole time) to his right hand to throw it back to the mound. The camera shake is intentional to draw attention away from the CG ball in his hand as he lowers it from the catch.
