I'm guessing this has happened before, repeatedly.

Pretty sure dad is using a webcam to record it. Also there is a mattress behind the treadmill for the guy to hit. It's pretty sweet and looks like a lot of fun but it is 100% obviously staged/whatever word you want to use for "they meant to do exactly this".

He's swinging his sword at the screenplay, which reads: "BRAD PITT runs at NATHAN JONES. NATHAN swings his SWORD and MISSES LIKE HE'S GOT A 9-MONTH-OLD'S MOTOR SKILLS."

I just looked this up to find out what part of the Iliad that's supposed to represent. I find that Nathan Jones is supposed to be Boagrius.

THERE'S NO SUCH FUCKING CHARACTER AS BOAGRIUS. WHAT THE FUCK.

He actually hits him in the face with it and knocks him back.

In the full clip he rolls back onto the treadmill for another beating. The gif cuts a tad too early.

I like that the shower curtain matches the ironing board.

    Hah! Nice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rScpx...hl=en_US&rel=0.

I love how he's dancing around right before he leaps to his infamy.

I don't understand basketball but I'm guessing that the white team *think* they've just won the game and are celebrating without realising that there's actually a second or two still on the clock, right? Doesn't a basket count for two points? If so, then how do the black team win? Or are they celebrating a draw?

I don't know anything about basketball either, but I think if you shoot from that far away it's worth like 7 or 8 points instead of 2.

Baskets from behind a certain line (helpfully-though-unoriginally named the "three point line") count for three points. This particular game was between two teams from a European league. I can't post the direct link, but if you google "basketball premature celebration," you should find an article that explains the specific circumstances.

Yeah, the real win here is the laser like toss and the SHOOMP of the net, which then takes all the air out of the gymnasium, or at least the premature celebration.

Apparently the white team is from Croatia and it's Europe's NLB championship game. No idea about the black team.

Wow, looks like it was an old rival: Croatia vs Serbia.

While that basketball gif/video is pretty crazy, I don't know what the hell what sort of rules they play be over there. In the NBA and NCAA, having an entire team and their coaches on the court during play is a delay of game, easily.

    Sort of like this?

"The band is out on the field! He's gonna go into the end zone! He's gonna go into the end zone!"

Yeah, that seems like a pretty clear technical foul. Similar to what happened in the Louisville/Pittsburgh game earlier this year: A Louisville player went in for what should have been a game-clinching dunk to put them up 5 with .5 seconds left. A Louisville cheerleader then ran onto the court, grabbed the ball, and threw it in the air in celebration. He got T'd up, which meant Pittsburgh got two free throws plus possession. They made the two free throws, but missed the last-second three that would have tied it.

On the video, it sounds like a whistle blows right after the first shot. Not sure if that's just crowd noise, or if the ball got away from the sideline and the ref blew it dead momentarily so they could chase the ball down. If there was a whistle, maybe the team in white thought the team in black had taken a time out.

It seems to me that this should have hurt him a lot more than it appears to have actually hurt him.

You'd be surprised at how delayed the pain from crazy shit like that can be, I learned that the hard way a few weeks ago.
