It turns out a lot of zoologists have shown interest in getting copies of the game film from the Nebraska/Texas A&M game. Apparently it's pretty rare to get actual footage of a pack of zebras savaging someone.

Some of the statheads crunched the numbers on the Huskers penalty problems. Sort of interesting to see the results.
Nebraska has played seven Big 12 conference games this season. Three of those games (Texas, ISU, Texas A&M) were officiated by the Burks crew.
Penalties in games officiated by Burks’ crew:
Nebraska: 32 for 293 yds (16 on offense, 10 on defense, 6… on special teams/dead ball)
Opponents: 9 for 103 yds (4 on offense, ZERO on defense, 5 on special teams/dead ball)
Penalties in Big 12 games not officiated by Burks’ crew (KSU, OSU, Mizzou, KU):
Nebraska: 25 for 210 yds
Opponents: 20 for 163 yds
So the games, when they didn't play well, they had more penalties? Shocking.
Nebraska fans deserve Pelini.
Seriously, speaking as a Texas fan who benefitted from the officiating, there's been a very clear and very strong anti-Nebraska bias from Burks' crew. And plenty of other Texas fans recognized it as well. Even A&M fans were commenting on it after the game. This isn't the ordinary "Oh the refs threw the game" whining that Texas Tech fans typically engage in. This is where the bias is so clear that even the opponent's fans en masse recognize it.
Not at all surprised to see the disparity in calls correlates to the officiating crew used.
Man Texas was so bad this year. How do you go from playing for the title to sub .500 in year?
ATM did everything they could on special teams to lose the game and Texas could not do shit with it.
I am also not sure how/why they stuck with Gilbert all year. I guess it makes sense coming from the same minds that benched Applewhite for Simms but its still hard to fathom.
Gilbert isn't good enough to hold Simms' jockstrap.
Gilbert isn't even good enough to hold Simms' grapes.

I'm just glad this shitty season is over with at this point.
There'd better be some goddamned amazing changes in the off-season.
Wow. Auburn could be going dowwnnnnnn.

I never thought I'd see a Saban team do that.
Hugz to Jerri. That is one of the craziest damn things I have ever seen. Every week, another insanely difficult win.
Looking forward to another hard fought game for Boise State tonight.
Damn. Seriously. Major jinx.

where can I stream the oregon / arizona game? Stupid teams made a deal it's only on ESPN and I don't have cable. I just spent 10 minutes on the ESPN web site and can't find any option (pay or free) to stream the game.
Check your PM's.
Nice win Auburn, I still fear a terrible ending to this dream season (even if it takes the NCAA a year or two to strip them of their wins), but I hope they keep it going. War Cam Eagle!
Also, wtf Ducks? Step it up, keep the crazy BCS scoring dream BCS bowl matchup with Auburn alive! Don't lose to 'Zona.
Great Iron Bowl game today. LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing Auburn pull it out like that. I was in shock at the start of the game. It really didn't look like that was going to happen.
I listened to the second half of the Iron Bowl on the radio, driving back to Tennessee. Is it wrong that I switched to the Eli Gold/Alabama broadcast in the waning seconds of the game?
No one is more amazed by that game than I am. Honestly, Auburn would make everyone's lives easier by playing a whole game instead of waiting until they're down by a couple or three touchdowns.
Man, the first half at my folks' house was difficult - there are some Bama fans in the family. Too bad I wasn't there for the final. :)
It just makes me wonder if / when auburn & oregon meet in the BCS, will the score be 0 to 0 at the half? And then 55/58 at the final? - Oregon putting the peddle to the metal once again in the 2nd half after going into the locker rooms 5pts behind.
And the ducks hit the afterburners in the second half to put the game away, again. Maybe Chip Kelly worked out some kind of deal with the TV advertisers to keep things interesting for at least a half so the coverage doesn't lose all the viewers after one quarter?
Yeah, only the Beavers stand in their way now. Normally I wouldn't want the Ducks to win that many Civil Wars in a row, but I also usually root for the team who gains the most with a win. I'd be much happier about that if OSU hadn't dropped the games against UCLA, Washington and WSU. But if the Beavers that dismantled California and USC show up at the Civil Wart, they could give Oregon a good game, for at least three quarters.
This Boise St / Nevada game has just entered the realm of epic lunacy. What a crazy ending to regulation.
