I'm guessing they'll get someone in his mid-20s with an eye to making three or four films.
For one, he's not tall enough.
I suppose they can try to fake it with the camera...

At least DiCap can act a bit.
Cage can act, whereas DiCaprio, uh, cannot and typically only does a good job of reminding the audience he is Leonardo DiCaprio and he's playing some sort of character? (Yes, Cage does that too, but he's aware of that and actually does something consistently unique and artful with that self-awareness.)
Anyways, I vote for Aaron Paul to topline.
What a strange and wonderful world alex lives in.
I wish we'd stop making fun of him, just so he wouldn't feel so restrained about sharing his bizarre points of view.
I dunno, I'm getting scarily close to agreeing with Alex on this one. Of course I haven't seen Shutter Island or Inception yet, so perhaps I need a DiCaprio post-Titanic opinion update.
Acting critiques aside, I cannot imagine either of them as Supes. They're both WAY too scrawny.
That's because the characters he was playing were very close to himself. He wasn't exactly attempting to stretch his abilities much. On the other hand, his role in Revolutionary Road…
I think I should note that Cage was not very good in Bringing Out the Dead, which is easily the worst film of either Cage or Scorsese's careers.
And despite Leo not being a good actor, he seems pretty well-suited for Supes. Cage would only be fitting for a non-traditional Superman.
Why not Jon Hamm?
When I look at Don Draper, I see the square-jawed, ultra-masculine type who could easily wear Supes's cape. And when I look at Drew Baird (from 30 Rock), I see the awkward, nerdy type who could easily pass for Clark Kent.
Adam Baldwin should be Superman.
A Superman who is kind of a dick to people.
Leo? What a joke. If you want a blonde what about Daniel Craig? He's not doing Bond anymore so maybe he can reboot Superman the same way. He's got the muscles. And better that he doesn't wear a costume at all. Just the tux. Best possible title: 'Quantum of Krypton'.

Christopher Reeve was just the perfect casting. If you go look at the screen test he does on the Superman DVD special features, it's just apparent the second he walks on that he's Superman.
That being said, I kind of liked Routh's performance. I may not have loved the movie he was in, but he did something rare: He channeled Reeve while adding his own presence. I don't see why he couldn't play Superman again. Who cares about continuity?
He was okay. I didn't think he really had Reeve's charisma.
They should just use Tom Welling before he gets too old.
Surprised nobody posted that yet when the talk talked to cage...
