So I just ordered this shirt

    http://www.teefury.com/

I'm tempted to grab this one too but 25 for a t-shirt is a bit much. The teefury one was only 12 with shipping.

When does it start in the UK? Are we finally nearly day-and-date with them here in the US? I know the Christmas special was, but we've not had an entire season with less than a one week gap, rigth? Man, I never thought that'd happen, remembering the agonizing waits for new seasons back in the late 70's.

I believe it starts on the same day, 4/23.

Some interesting speculation that the enemy of this season has been present is several episodes of last season. See below for clips from last season that are suspect

The most compelling one I think is at the end which are just screen caps from the 11th hour but clearly show what appears to be someone hiding

I agree, but the ones from the finale seem like they are something.

They're definitely the most convincing, but I'm afraid they're just production errors... Who fans seem inclined to spot "grand" plot moments ahead of time after Bad Wolf, regardless of them being there or not.

Still, this is Moffat, so times have changed...

BTW, there are free Gamerpics and themes available right now as part of the season start promo...

Yeah, stretching a bit, but it's overall fairly compelling.

I find myself reminded of the glory days of B5 fandom, when every glitch onscreen was met with a chorus of "BLARG! SHADOW SHIP! BLARRRGGH!"

Man I loved B5. Two things so annoy me about the show, however:

    1) Season 5.
    2) That they didn't render in widescreen -- yeah I understand why not, but grrrr, it is keeping me from buying the DVDs. I think they should re-render them, they'd probably make back the money on DVD sales.

Aw man. I wasn't even aware she was in poor health. The Brigadier and Sarah Jane in the same year - Tom Baker had better be looking over his shoulder right about now.

Damn, that makes me sad. It's even more of a shock considering how indestructible her character was, to the point where I fully expected Sladen to outlive everyone.

Oh hell. That's really really upsetting. I didn't know she had cancer. 63 is too young. :(

Aw man. I had such a crush on her when I watched Doctor Who as a teenager in the 80's.

Stunned when I heard about this earlier today - absolutely heartsick. I feel like a part of my childhood has just been torn away. RIP Liz.

Very saddened by her passing. SJ and the Brig were among the first characters I ever saw of Doctor Who when I first got into it in the late 70's.

I was almost in tears just thinking about it, so yeah...

EDIT: Aaaaand I did it anyway. She was amazing in that.

‎"The universe has to move forward. Pain and loss, they define us as much as happiness or love. Whether it's a world or a relationship, everything has its time. And everything ends."
    --Sarah Jane Smith, School Reunion.
R.I.P. Elisabeth Sladen, you will be missed.

On unrelated news, be careful reading The Guardian today. They have a big Season 6 piece out, but it contains a massive photo spoiler right at the top. I've been fuming all day since reading it >.<

So does it start simultaneously in the UK and US this year? We're getting it on Saturday in the US.

I hope so, will be nice to actually participate in the discussion this year.

That's the same date as the UK premiere, yes. Two more days.

And goodbye Sarah Jane. I've never seen the old shows, but thanks to School Reunion she's been an anchor connecting the Doctor to his past. Now that anchor is gone. It's a shame Elisabeth Sladen died.

I don't get BBC America, but thankfully it looks like Amazon Instant will have the episodes available for $0.99 the day after airing. Whew.
