    "The unGodly nations will fall"???
Wasn't it that sort of thinking that spurred that horrible event in the first place?

That whole ad seems confused, to me.

Nice misspelling of remembrance, too. :)

Well, there is a Mansfield and a Hartville quite close to each other in Missouri.

In rememberance of our freedom. Where did it go? Why, it went into this lovely oak armoire, naturally. Buy it and liberate America! Perhaps you'd also be interested in this brave recliner? Show your support for the ideals the country was based on by saturating the seat with your musty beer farts while watching our national pastime!

Here in Missouri, we already have one local electronics store that constantly touts being closed on "The Lord's day" as a selling point, as well as commercials for churches. The way that's going, i wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing 5 second ads that just said "GODLESS FUCKERS!" in 30 point monotone.

Can't be patriotic without Jesus Christ behind you.

And just what do they mean by "Ungodly Nations" anyways? The Islamic countries worship a God drawn from the same sources as Christianity. Not to mention that in theory, the separation of Church and State in the USA means that they are a secular country. So does this mean that they are in fact talking about themselves?

I also like "God blessed America with the Lord Jesus Christ." He did? I thought that whole thing went down like 2000 years ago in the Mideast. Man, shows what I know.

I also would be really interested in knowing where in America this ad comes from. Sometimes living out on the coast in a big city, you forget how different people are in the heartland/smaller towns. Then somebody like Bush gets elected and you remember.

I hate to interrupt this incredibly deep deconstruction of those ignorant Midwesterners, but is there any evidence this is real? I mean, I've been to quite a few parts of the US, and I can think of none where this wouldn't be at the very least in poor taste if not flat out ridiculous. The more rural you get, the more somber the view of 9/11 tends to become.

I am just suspicious because there is a great deal of effort, it seems, not to make this a location that can be checked on. Like a phone number. A direction more specific than "highway 5 between Mansfield and Hartfield".

How the hell did that get into a post before mine? Were you just instinctively preempting skepticism?

Anyway, I do hope someone calls them. It's a little pricey for me, but I am really intrigued by how they would rationalize this.

The paper looks TOO wrinkled, like somebody went crazy with the Wrinkle filter in Photoshop. I say it's a fake.

Just did (free cell long distance rocks). They're having a sale 11-14, and she said "oh, there's probably a lot of our ads still out there that praise Jesus."

    So there you go.

Praise Jesus and pass the furniture! (Hm, I wonder if Jesus will be delivering the furniture with his buddy Carlos?)

Maybe Jesus works there. He was a carpenter wasn't he? Or was that his "dad"...
and unGodly Nations? .. woah... thats a bit harsh... especially seeing as most nations have a religion that worships some kind of god or another.. or did they mean "un Christian God worshiping nation"... If I could afford it I'd ask them to hold something in the name of Lucifer and see what they say.... but I can't.. .so I won't.

I'm not surprised. Having lived and traveled through a lot of the American midwest and Texas, this is on the crazy end of typical, but not something that blows me away. Outside of the larger cities, the heartland is a very simple, God-fearing sort of place. They put stuff like that in a furniture ad because they believe it, and it does well for them because the majority of the folks around them believe it.
