Comic Book Thursday 12/3/09 (now unnumbered!)- Gillen on Thor! Siege Begins!

I'll put up the third comic book club thread tonight.
    Interesting Books This Week
Thor #604- Kieron Gillen starts his run on Thor. I don't know whether to pick it so hopefully Kieron can answer these questions in time:
    A) Is this a temporary run or set in stone until further notice?
    B) How much does it draw from the JMS run? I haven't read any Thor at all (and certainly not the JMS run) so I'm wondering how much of a clean start it is.
    C) Are we getting Thor crossovers because of Siege?
Siege Cabal (one shot)- The new Marvel event begins here! I'm going to support this one because they are actually boosting the page count for the price and I like how it's a short event. I don't read any Avengers or Thor books though...
King City #3- The serialization of King City continues.
Mighty #11- Penultimate issue of this fantastic series.
Sweet Tooth #4- Lemire's postapocalyptic epic gets some new cast members.

For the rest of the week's comics (and a great way to manage your pulls for the week) go here and report back.

    Getting...

The Great Ten #2: Glorious Tome of Color and Words.
Cinderella #2: James Bond in a dress.
    Uncanny X-Men #518: Navid A's favorite.
North 40 #6: Comes to an end.
The Sword #20: Dara and Malia battle.
The Boys #37: A Frenchie story.
    Sweet Tooth #4
X-Force Annual #1: Those underused Marvels characters Wolverine and Deadpool get the exposure that they deserve. Written by Robert Kirkman so I will pick it up anyway.

Has anyone heard if Dingo is good?

I finally read the Darkhorse Noir collection and thought 2/3 of the stories were pretty great. I was impressed that the authors could tell a coherent story in only six pages but I usually ended up wanting to read more about the characters. Also much to my surprise (since I thought it was delayed until January) the Incognito trade showed up today. I only flipped through the first chapter so far but it looks fantastic.

I really need to buy that. As soon as my LCS has a 25% sale...

I really like it. An ancient evil is released in a Texas county. Some people are turned into monsters, some get super powers and some are just killed outright.

Didn't go to comic book store on release day today. Feels really weird.

It's good though since I can now get feedback on how new reader friendly Thor and Siege are.
