Yes, EQ2maps is excellent for questing.
I know I asked this half a year ago, but is there a map and/or quest mod everyone is currently using?
Thanks!

Nope it's still pretty amazing ;)
Did we decide on what day this weekend we were meeting?
Nor am I. Fugitive or Ned, you have any preference?
Not really, the weekend weather's looking pretty blah here so I'm not going anywhere.
I am reinstalling at the moment! While I'm too low level to hang with you guys, I will be happy to regale you all with my sarcastic humor. :)
Assuming it finishes downloading anytime soon, that is. Downloading 10 gigabytes at 100K/s is terrible.
Douglas there are actually quite a few of us hanging around the low levels, having just started up. Xeras and myself have several characters between 10 and 25, and I know there's a few others that are hanging about waiting on Halas.
Sunday is a better day for me.
Would Sunday at 6:30 pacific work for everyone?
I may end up not being free tonight. Feel free to work on the 10 hojillion quests in Everfrost in my absence if that's the case.
I'm getting cable internet installed in a few minutes. Hopefully it will all go smoothly and I'll be up and running again with plenty of time, but who knows.
Edit: It's in. Speedtest's been ranging between 24 and 26 mbps - some of that's probably Powerboost, though.

Halas should be going live today, along with a major travel overhaul, and you can read the patch notes here. There's also supposed to be a new series of quests/events involving reconstruction of the druid rings, starting in Nek.
Wow, that's quite a patch. The new travel system sounds great.
I should be rolling a new toon in New Halas tonight.
Seems the entire Permafrost server is locked down right now for whatever reason.
CRAFTIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGGG!!!
Is a terrible waste of time!
Also, the new travel system is nice. I wish it were in place when I was going to Wailing Caves last night. :(
Maybe it has just been the luck Mcknight and I have been having recently but it seems any dungeons geared towards our level kicks our ass. We tried blackburrow as bruiser/fury with a random illusionist and got our butts handed to us. Last night with a friend of mine, Fenmar on his wizard mentored down, me on swash and mcknight on dirge we still struggled in Wailing Caves unless Fenmar destroyed everything immediately. We were synced down to 17 which is the high end range for that zone? What gives?
Edit: Seems my starter sturdy backpack is now 24 slots? Very nice. :)
Dungeons are not designed for two people. If you have a tank/healer/DPS trinity you should probably be viable. Four or more people is better.
Of course, we're partly doing as well with dungeons as we are because we do every heritage quest and spend a ton of time funneling experience to AA, which means our gear and AA bonuses are both significantly better than average at our level. This is not something I currently recommend to you guys because you are better off getting to 50 and hooking up with us than taking the same number of months we did.
I would just like to share a quote from the patch notes that makes me very happy:
The following zones now have inner zone travel options or have had new locations added to them:
Feerrott
I didn't realize that the New Halas content was a free update. Here I was ready to give more money to Sony too, heh.
My Barb Berserker is up and running, if anyone gets on for guild invite. Name is Spectal. Not sure if this was just luck or intended loot upgrade, but I got a Master spell from a chest at level 4. Not a bad start.
So are people rolling alts for Thursday or are we simply strolling through Halas at our own pace? If there's no coordinated effort with alts I think I'm going to stick to my Drige (my Fury had it's day in the sun...) rather then roll a new character for the sake of it.
Also Spect, you want us to wait on you to catch up? The four of us (Xeras, Nek, you and myself) are all pretty close on levels at the moment, so it would make sense to quest together rather then spilt up.
I would suggest not waiting to group up in New Halas starting area, as it's so damn easy to solo. I went from lvl 1 to 16 in an evening. Roll an alt if you want to see the new area, but it's pretty standard if you ask me. Otherwise just bring an existing toon over to New Halas to see the city.
You don't have to wait, but if I can get within grouping range by Thurs that would be cool. I'll be playing a little more tonight, might get to 19 or 20. You are all around 25?
Yeah, I've been mentoring a friend through New Halas and while I enjoy the desolate feel of the location, the quests aren't that exceptional.
Edit: Also, at the moment I can't commit to the level 25 group -- trying to get said friend caught up to me though that should only take a couple more nights. :)
