    Football and dogfighting

    Great article by Malcolm Gladwell ( outliers, blink, etc ) http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2...urrentPage=all.

    There is an article in the NYTimes discussing it, which is where I found the link. I really enjoy watching football, after growing up not knowing how to play the game or watching it at all. How do I feel about it now? I'll still watch, but the implications are extremely troubling, because unlike in Boxing or martial arts, you have lots and lots of young players being put in these situations without knowing the full consequences down the road. I think the comparison to dogfighting is a little salacious, but it is hard to refute completely. Very interesting read.
