Agreed. I watched it a few days ago (thank you, DVR search feature!) and enjoyed it.

I just watched the first three episodes of the series on Hulu Plus last night while doing some work. The first episode was awesome to see again after knowing where the characters ended up. But after rewatching the second and third, I can see why I stopped watching. It definitely found its groove later in the season.

I'm really quite impressed with Gillian Jacobs at this point. I'm not sure I've ever seen anybody commit themselves so hard to a role that ridiculous.
I think she became my favorite character this season. She went from being a somewhat ridiculous hipster lady into a complete buffoon. I laughed so hard at the "Me So Christmas" dance call back.

Astonishing what ingesting copious amounts of doobage will do for a character :-)

Apropos of very little, I happened to catch an episode of Community on my flight over the holidays, but I didn't cough up for headphones so I didn't really get what was happening. Looked interesting though, it was the one where they get together to play a game, and Joel McHale tosses a die in the air and the same scene plays out multiple ways as the die roll outcome changes. I do want to watch this but it doesn't seem to be on Netflix! Life is so unfair.

Check Hulu and NBC.com. I have Hulu Plus, and i know it's there. Heck, it's worth signing up for a one-month subscription just to watch all the Communities you've missed. :)

I pledge not to watch any NBC until this show is returned. It shouldn't be too hard to follow.

None of the analysts are predicting outright death for Community, so I'm not worried about it yet. Most of them give it, at worst, about a 50/50 chance, and I think that the fact that next season is syndication season probably helps it out, and if they do need to cut staff, it's not like there aren't a couple of people who can go. I find Chang funny when he's on, but even I have to admit they're straining a little to fit him in.

That's kinda a cop out. Very few people thought Community was canceled, all the headlines read "Community benched/on hiatus". People weren't angry because the show was canceled, people are angry because the show is benched/on hiatus.

I know I know "Not your personal army" but, if you like voting for Community for things you can vote Jeff/Annie as "Best Couple" on E! online

If you read the link it all becomes clear. (hint: the link also has Dean + Castiel from Supernatural in the running)

Yeah, couldn't they have put The Office or Up All Night on hiatus instead? Sigh.

    Please. According to EW.

And it's not at the cost of P&R. P&R was going off anyway because that's as many episodes as they had. There weren't any more episodes to run. Unless you want the cast to stand in front of the camera and fart awkwardly at one another, you were pretty well stuck. It's getting the break so they can run it through May sweeps instead of running out of gas before then.

Well, even so, I'm still annoyed they're putting it up against Big Bang Theory, which is about the worst thing they can do demographically.

What makes me hate people is that Community may be gone after this season, yet this shit gets greenlighted:
Bent is about a “romantic comedy about a womanizing, surfer dude contractor (David Walton) and his beautiful, no-nonsense, type-A client (Amanda Peet), who work together to remodel each other’s lives as they renovate her Venice, California home.” Best Friends Forever is about a two longtime friends (Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham) who move into a Brooklyn apartment. Betty White’s Off Their Rockers is a Punk’d-style show with a cast of “sassy septuagenarians.”

Since Community is co-opted by Sony, pretty much, it's hoped that they'll have the pull to get one more, final season greenlit.

All of those shows are far more likely to be gone after this season than Community because they're going in the Wednesday hour. That entire comedy block could very well be dead after it's complete failure over the course of the entire season. At least if they fail with an hour long show they only fail with one cast instead of two. Community still has problems, but if it puts up better numbers than 30 Rock in this place, I honestly think that's a pretty strong argument for its renewal with NBC in the state it's in. It's unfortunate that it's about to get its balls repeatedly stomped on by the competition that was already stomping on its balls, but on the other hand that also means that it's got an excuse for low ratings.

All I saw was "Amanda Peet" and I set the DVR. Sorry.

I had a similar reaction to "sassy septuagenarians". I mean, what?
