Finally saw the latest ep last night. TOTALLY genius. I never doubt the show, but I never realize how well they raise their own bar until they actually do it.
This episode seemed fairly unhumorous to me, especially after last week's. Tch.
I'd say it was more of a character piece, but I still thought it was damned entertaining. The last 2 eps are apparently a 2 parter entitled "A Fist Full of Paintballs" and "For a Few Paintballs More". Those should bring the awesome.
Snoozer. I liked dog dollars, though.
Yeah, this was a bit of a yawn after last week.
I really thought they were building up to have Brita say she was pregnant, what with knowing all the pregnancy stuff, asking Jeff if he thought she'd be a good mother, throwing up, etc.
The curse of being too good: You get labeled as "boring" when an episode doesn't live up to the high standards you've established. The paintball episode may be the greatest single episode of a sitcom ever aired, but now most other episodes just seem weaker by comparison (something they alluded to in a later episode, when Abed makes t-shirts saying, "It's all downhill from here.").
I don't mind the slower, character-driven episodes. Not every episode can be paintball or the trampoline or Fat Neil. "Did he just say Chang?" was enough for me.
I thought this episode was really solid. Not the genius highs it sometimes hits, but funnier than 30 rock of late and the office (for quite a while)
The bit where Britta goes under Shirly's skirt for the first time had me howling. The look on her face paired with the music was just perfect.
Annie could not possibly have been hotter in this evening's episode. I need a screen capture of her, please. Now.
Jeez, that might have been my favorite episode.
"Remember when...?"
"That was 5 hours ago."
Man, you guys are slow:

I wish I could say otherwise, but this finale is mostly feeling like a chore and total fan service thusfar. I have no doubt they could've come up with something far more clever than this retread.
It had Annie running in slo-mo. Works for me.
QFT. I never care about chests, but in this instance my brain made an exception.
Holloway could've used a couple memorable lines, but everything else about the episode was spot-on. I loved Pierce's transformation. If anyone is becoming a useless character, it's Shirley.
I blew through this entire series way too fast just to catch up tonight. All I can really say is "DAMN!"
Well, that and the following: seriously hilarious television. Dan Harmon is a genius, Abed is amazing, and this is Chevy Chase's best role.
I know it's only going to get disapproval, and I normally think that Alison Brie is hot, but during that slow mo scene I could only think of the Seinfeld episode where they talk about bad naked.
I just wish the episodes were longer. 22 minutes is not enough time. I wanted more Josh Holloway. I wanted that "Few Dollars More" stand-off to linger, as it does in the original. Even two more minutes of show would have made a huge difference.
Overall a great episode.
Just wanted to add that I thought this episode was awesome. I was thrilled that paint ball was back and there was enough new in it that I didn't mind seeing one aspect get repeated.
Was that really the season finale?
Part one of a two part season finale. There's another episode next week.
Glad to hear that. While I wouldn't put it past Community to have that end sequence just be a joke (and it would have been awesome), I can't wait to see what they actually do with the stuff in the teaser.
Holloway got in a "sonofabitch" and a nickname. Works for me.
I agree with alexlitel. The last couple episodes have frankly been pretty bad, and as much as I love the western theme I wish it wasn't a retread of last season's episode.
