Happy mothers day to all of you mothers and all of your mothers.

I'd suggest the pop top game set from Steam as a gift. Nothing like jewels and flowers brain eating zombies for mothers day.

Lorini, if your son introduces you to a friend of his today, beware.

    Happy m-day, new & not-new moms.

This year I decided to take the back seat for my preteen daughter's mother-honoring, hoping that she would coordinate that stuff on her own for a change without me playing puppetmaster. It's one thing to be the father and the husband, but when you're an X (and still happen to be good friends with the mom), it gets more complicated. Fortunately, at the midnight hour my kid pulled it off mostly on her own inspiration/momentum and a good seafood bbq and all-in-all pleasant evening was had by all.

Thanks! Matt let me sleep in this morning, followed by a picnic at the park and a nice dinner at an Italian place. A good time was had by all.

I called my mom for Mother's Day. Of course. I asked her what my stepdad got her.

Mom: "He got me a Wii Fit!"

Ignoring for a moment the minefield that getting your wife a fitness oriented gift can be, I asked..."Mom, do you guys have a Wii?"

    Mom: "No."

    Me: "Good luck with that."

Mom: "Yeah, that's what your sister said."

They plan to look for a Wii on Craigslist now that they know one is required. However, since I think this is the only software they will ever buy for it I asked her not to open it before I could send her links to Tom's review (diary?) of it. Hopefully that will save them.

Boy if I gave my mom (she's passed away now) a Wii fit for Mother's Day, that would have gone over as well as the time my brother and I gave her a frying pan when we were kids.

You're only supposed to wish a happy Mother's Day to your own mom. It's not Mothers' Day.

My brother and I gave my mom a popcorn maker one year.
We have never heard the end of it.
