Some will, but many are still buying stuff at crazy prices.

Its kind of like buying a PC. Dell and its kin are still in business because most people can't hit Newegg, buy a lot of parts and put together a powerhouse machine for a fraction of the price the big boys ask.

Damn I really hate review embargoes :( I already have the Collector's Edition pre-ordered, but I'm super anxious to see if this is gonna be Obsidian's homerun!

When is the embargo? Tuesday midnight, I suppose?

After Alpha Protocol it darn well better be.

I have pre-ordered FNV and I am downloading it now. Does it unlock midnight est or pst?

Edit: On the 19th: 12:01 AM Pacific Time (PST) for North America, Central America, and South America.

I got the collector's guide for FO3 cheap and it was worth it for the non strategy guide stuff alone.

There was a guy streaming himself playing FO:NV on justin.tv. It looked like FO3, but better. Ayup.

Even if the street date were broken Steam wouldn`t allow you to play it, no? So either they`re a pirate or they cracked it.

    There's also a 360 version, I think.

They finally clarified the Steam unlock time. The Americas get to start playing at 1201AM PST in the 19th and the rest of the world unlocks at 1201AM GMT on the 22nd.

The street date for the 360 version has been broken. I held the retail version of New Vegas in my hands. The scary part of that? It was a USED copy at a mom and pop store.

Those of us who already spend 10-12 hours a day on our PCs. Blech. :)

This is digital distribution, why do I have to wait a whole three days longer? Ugh.

So stores in your area can sell it first.

That's exactly my reason for going console whenever possible too. I'm already in front of a PC too much as it is.

Yes, so that the people that buy the game locally can then wait three days for it to unlock!

I know, I know... no point in arguing it.

Couch is more comfortable than PC chair.
That said, best combination is obviously this

Quite a bit actually. Viewing distance is about 8-10 ft instead of 2 ft. Plus it's nice being in a different location -- I work from home a lot, so my work PC is literally my gaming PC. Plus as Paul_cze says sitting on the couch is very different than sitting upright in my office chair. Also using a controller works very different muscles than using keyboard and mouse.

Are there any good recommendations for using a wired keyboard? A wire retractor would be perfect but I can`t seem to find any plain usb cables with retractors (I don`t want A-B) or stand alone retractors.

Retractable USB extension cables do exist, but they don't seem to get much longer than four feet.

I think that`s an acceptable trade off.

According to this you can use a maximum of 5 powered hubs with a maximum distance of 3-5 meters per hub. It might be best to have one hub for easy plugging at the desk and then run some hidden wires to a hidden extension cable at your chair or couch.

Can you just use a usb-ethernet adaptor to bridge the distance I wonder?

Do not setup your PC at your TV, unless you want to be that guy.

Just buy a more comfortable chair for your desk.

Wait, what? Why wouldn't you want to be that guy? That guy has a fucking rocking setup.
