Slow week at Marvel, they're only launching two new Wolverine titles this week.
All general comic talk is welcome as is all weekly stuff. Just spoiler stuff until after it is released (not all of us read solicits). To keep it diverse I will post my 3 picks for the week for you guys to check out.
For the rest of the week's comics (and a great way to manage your pulls for the week) go here and report back.

Slow week at Marvel, they're only launching two new Wolverine titles this week.
Only picking up one title again (Incognito). I just reread the first Criminal trade, and goddamnit it's fantastic. I want my Criminal fix (two Oxycontins and a few lines of crank should get me where I need to be)!
Amazingly, I still haven't read Lawless but I have an excuse (no cash).
Another thing I should mention is that everyone here should read The Surrogates (movie adaption incoming). Excellent book that's perfect for those who just read Watchmen and want something similar.
100 Bullets series finale this week. Although it petered out a bit mid-way, and suffers like so many serials from "making it up as we go", I still really enjoyed the series. In a way, the quality going downhill has made me fine with it ending, but a lot of the flaws in the series were only really exposed in the effort to wrap things up - if Brian A just carried the story along naturally, it might have been a better (and enduring) product. Still, pretty psyched to read how it all ends.
Wolverine: Noir and Rampaging Wolverine, yeah. I may actually pick up these Noir series in trade. I'm a sucker for noir.
I just reread Incognito #1 and #2 and damn I am really excited for #3. Brubaker is to me, worthy of being put up on that legendary status of writers. He's much more subtle than somebody like Morrison who just pumps out ideas without fleshing them out properly and his pacing is impeccable.
Incognito #3 was as expected, excellent. I did a review of it, in the link in the OP.
Man, now that Bendis's Halo mini-series has wrapped up, I'm really excited to see how Halo 3 turns out!
Action comics was pretty brutal and I forget which Kryptonians are which from week to week. I've got at least a half dozen issues of Superman/Batman unread. I keep forgetting to stop buying it though. I keep telling myself "I'll quit after this arc wraps so at least if I read them later, I'll have a whole story" and then I lose track of when that is, so now here I am two issues into the next story. I think this time, Superman and Batman are going to fight each other!
I also can't keep up with the evil psychic women of Uncanny X-Men. I'm on board because, hey, Matt Fraction! But I feel like the book has never had a clear story going on, just lots and lots of side stories.
And the store was out of the second Oracle issue in that Battle For the Cowl mini.
Wow, 100 Bullets finale was a disaster.
I lost interest in 100 bullets long ago. Somewhere along the lines when everyone switched allegiances at the drop of a head. That said, I'm somewhat curious as to what the finale is like? I don't mind spoilers, so feel free to PM me if we're to protect the sanctity of the thread. I just can't be bothered to make the trip to the comic store to pick it up.
You're going to break my heart if you tell me the end of 100 Bullets is no good. I'm waiting on the trade.

Oh man, I didn't even look to see who wrote it. My comic guy tried to push it on me and I just shrugged and said I wasn't reading Thor and hadn't ever read anything about Beta Ray Bill, so why start now?
I'll fix that today! And actually, I've heard good stuff about Thor, so maybe I'll pick that up too.
High Five your comic shop man from me. Push it! Push that comic!

Great stuff, Kieron, I'll check it out.
I'll be interested in your thoughts on the 100 Bullets finale. I thought it was a muddled mess and an unsatisfying resolution. There's finality, however.
Damn, we have quite a few people in the comics industry on this board. Next time one of you guys have a book releasing, PM me so I can highlight it in the three picks of the week in the OP.
Especially w/ Indy titles, the best time to highlight a book is when the issue hits Previews, 2 or 3 months before actual release date. It's when Previews are announced that shops stock up on a title. By the time it hits store shelves, the fate of a book has often already been decided.
For instance, the aforementioned God Hunter.

Is there any (legal) way to get Previews for free? I could've swore there was some way to.
I don't know, but if you go to any of the online retailers that sell pre-orders based on Previews, like the dcbservice.com site I linked, they've only list items from the current month's previews. I'm sure there are a bunch of similar sites. A big advantage is the heavy discounting you get by pre-ordering.
Yeah but the thing about DCBS is, it's very disorganized. Might as well just individually grab the solicits from IGN or CBR.
Bang! Tango is awesome so far. Much dancing, sex and violence, and Joe Kelly.
Keep these threads coming, btw. I'm so hopelessly behind on my comics buying and I have no idea what's good anymore...
Will do, thanks. Do you guys prefer keeping it simple like this, or should I make it more like the Neogaf thread every week?
Keep in mind that these last two weeks had barely any comics releasing.
Without clicking on the thread, I can tell you my gut telling me that making anything more like a Neogaf thread isn't the direction I want to take.
Pictures of comic books? Madness!
I'd actually like the covers.
Alright, I'll try something a bit unique for the next thread. I think it'll also circumvent the 4 images per post rule too.
Enjoyed Battlefields: Dear Billy. Thanks for the heads up.
Looking forward to checking out Incognito this Friday.
Just posting to say I think this title was a squandered opportunity to say Qt3 Comic Book Wednesdays 4/15/09 - Issue #2.
