I just poked my head in this thread for the first time. My gods, this fortress' story is amazing.

Can I have a turn?

In the interest of not petering out again, I declare Boatmurdered Part 2 rules (modified) to be in effect:

When your turn comes up, you have 24 hours to respond before you're kicked to the back of the list and the next player gets a chance. If you can't take your turn when it comes up, but can in a few days, just say so and you only go down a slot or two on the list.

Once you've started, you must post something every 48 hours. A full turn should take no more than a week, although that isn't a hard and fast rule.

I'd agree with this. It's a bummer to wait so long, especially after Damien did such a great job.

I tweaked the death list a bit, firming up a few previously uncertain fates and adding some new dwarves to the "unnamed" pool. Nothing that anyone would really notice, though in doing so I did discover that Sepiche (the prodigiously talented child mayor) and Tiohn (abducted by goblins a while back) are brothers, both sons of the late Kalle. Oddly they don't show up as brothers, but they share the same father and their mother(s) is/are lost to time. So brothers or half brothers, I figure.

We've entered the strange above ground Dwarfen village. Yesterday, Scout Kael ran off screaming about a "Dead God" named "Quatloo" or some such. The team is anxious, but hopeful of discovering valuable treasures, such as a famous statue hidden within.

Some sort of bone covered abomination, the word "Quatoria" scarred into its chest, slaughtered all my companions. I managed to run underground, and the thing refused to chase me. I can hear it gibbering outside the entrance.

I hope things are okay for you in life, but unless it is something really bad, you should have passed the torch or PM'd someone to let them know you weren't able to play.

Inod would have polite bad things to say about you if that bastard Damien had let her live......

Ah, that's okay. It's easy to get caught up in things so you keep thinking, "Okay, tomorrow I'll get to it..." I'll look forward to hearing the story of BobJustBob's ancestral spirits eventually!

I agree. Thing's aren't bad, just busy, and I always thought I'd get a chance to continue and sit down and do it. Go Quakebells!

I've completed my tour of the site and discussed the events of the previous year with many of the colonists. In recognition of her courage, leadership and sacrifice a Bronze statue is being crafted for Inod. I am hopeful one of the colonists can suggest an inscription.
