    Batman: The Animated Series Soundtrack

Just in case you have a love of the TAS' soundtrack as much as I, La-La Land Records has issued a 2CD soundtrack of what will reportedly be the first of a series:

That being said, there may not be another pressing and this could be the only print run, so grab it while you still can. I actually never thought this would happen, and that Mask of the Phantasm and some scratchy source cues floating around would be the only thing available from the show, but thankfully I am now wrong.

This is great news. I was hoping 'Heart of Ice' would be covered in this set, but I guess I'll just have to order, cross my fingers, and hope that sufficient numbers do the same!

I often wonder what Batman Begins/The Dark Knight might have sounded like if the score had been another Walker/Zimmer collaboration.

I was hoping to see "Nothing to Fear", myself, but still...I'll have to think about it.

The CD is exclusive just through La La Land Records?

You can buy it at Intrada as well, and probably other soundtrack specialty houses.

I have this 2 disc set. I haven't sat down and listened to the whole thing but it's a little hit and miss with me, but that's not really the soundtrack's fault. I loved the Mask of the Phantasm soundtrack because it packed more of an emotional punch and was more succinct. This is a little more extended obvously. I *love* the soundtrack to the series. The thing is that for me there are only a few moments that really amaze me and make me wish I can listen to it everytime. Now I feel like I can, but there's so many other tracks (movements?) that I have to sort out and I want to filter the tunes that I really enjoy.

I just got this today, and so far I LOVE IT! I might be biased though, since I have every other Batman: The animated Series and Batman Beyond soundtrack I could get my hands upon. ;)

Looks like La-La Land Records will release an expanded version of the Mask of the Phantasm soundtrack very soon. It's not up on their website yet but should be soon.
