Jailbait I hope I never do time. Not really good movie but it is kind of cool when you see Michael Pitts cell mate size him up.
I assumed it was soft core gay porn.
Big Money Rustlas
I see Days of Heaven is now up.
Dull?

Robert Redford's The Conspirator is up. It is no 1313: UFO Invasion, but it has some solid performances, and is much more entertaining than the reviews make it out to be.
How about a movie for a middle aged woman? Tearjerker or a feel good kind of thing. Netflix just shows me war movies and flims with women with blood on their face.
Watched the entire season of Lilyhammer this past weekend and loved it.
Didn't think the premise would work or that Van Zandt would pull off being a lead star but the show is fantastic! Excellently written, very funny, and aside from Van Zandt holding his own (really, I could not imagine anyone in this role after watching the entire show), there is just great acting all around, with many of the secondary actors being very well developed with their own interesting story lines.
It will be a long wait for the next season due to Springsteen being on the road.
Marvel Animation awesomeness up on streaming. On my recently added list is the following movie marathon, I'm sure released just in time for the new Avemgers movie:
Ultimate Avengers
Ultimate Avengers 2
The Invincible Iron Man
Doctor Strange
Hulk Vs.
Planet Hulk
If you've missed any of these (I've actually seen them all via on demand or DVD), check them out.
It's a great time to be a comic book fan!
Are they actually good? Someone was telling me the Marvel Animated moves are so-so at best.
I accidentally started watching an Iron Man motion comic once. *shudder*
For anybody that hasn't I do recommend watching the first 5 minutes of a motion comic, because they're fascinating in a train-wreck kind of way. You wonder who could possibly have thought it was a good idea.
I rather thought that Iron Man: Extremis wasn't bad for a motion comic.
They take the art from a comic book, cut it into several layers and do other stuff so they can make the art move, and then add voices for the dialog/narration.
I'm imagining something like a Ken Burns documentary, where we're slowly panning across pictures of superheroes while voice-overs speak their lines. Violin music in the background.
Yeah. They do different warping effects to get the illusion of movement without creating new artwork. It's frequently slightly nauseating, and never looks good.
The only other use of the tech I know of is the (mildly NSFW) Motion Gravure series, where the do the same thing to still images of Japanese bikini models. It's...weird.
Dark Horse is doing motion comics for the Geek & Sundry YouTube Channel (Felicia Day's channel). Go here to see an example of motion comics.
On the Clutch Cargo thing, I vaguely remember a horrible animated show from when I was a kid that had static animation and real human lips... Something on a submarine with a gray palette.
Even as a 5-year-old with such low standards that I thought Lost in Space was great SF, it horrified me and I hated it.
