It's the best footage I've seen so far from the show. Atmospheric.

Well the Jets won again so I guess there goes another couple weeks worth of work on Dance as he maintains all of his focus on the NFL.

I know I personally quit my own full time job in order to have a few hours to watch tv at night. If you're gonna work, I expect you to do nothing else!

I kinda expected the throne to look a little more dangerous, but I do still like it.

I realize every GRRM thread is a barely stable powder keg where battle lines have been drawn and all it takes is a careless word to set the whole thing off, however in this case you may want to retract your BigRedClaws since GRRM has in the past been pretty candid that when the Jets are on fire, he doesn't get a whole lot done.

When GRRM was on book tour for Feast for Crows I was able to hang out with him and a small group at a party at the home of the guy who founded the Brotherhood without Banners. This was in November, and the #1 rule was that no one was to discuss football, because GRRM had Tivo'd all the games and didn't want to know the results ahead of time.

It's absolutely true - I think Martin sinks all of his creativity into Jets fanfic during the NFL season. I'm pretty sure the Steelers will take them out though so after another week or two of recovery then he should be able to get back to work, barring further hospitalizations.

We're only harsh because we love the series...

Now if only a few of the Jets players were Game of Thrones fans...*

    Tony

    * Just a joke, I don't buy the conspiracy theory on GRRM being distracted by football. If someone wants to procrastinate they will find a way even if theres nothing to do.

They've used creative editing to turn it into a tween comedy. It's kind of like Hannah Montana meets Shawshank Redemption.

ABC Family, despite the name, has slowly been integrating more risqué fare in their schedule since... Well, since it started.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABC_Family

Long story, short: Pat Robertson's evangelical network sold the Family Channel to Fox. Fox then sold it to Disney. Disney planed to rename it to XYZ and position it to younger, hipper crowd, but there was a HUGE snag:

The next major plan was to reposition the channel to market it to college students, young women, or to a more hip audience under the name XYZ, a reverse reference to ABC. Disney soon found that the channel could never be renamed as such. The original sale from CBN to Fox/Saban contained a stipulation that the channel contain the word "Family" in the name forever, no matter who owns the network. To create XYZ, the Family Channel would have had to cease to exist — terminating all existing cable TV contracts — and XYZ would have to be created as a new network. Cable companies would not be obligated to put XYZ in the spot vacated by the Family Channel. ABC scrapped the idea after discovering this clause.

Sad news. The actress who plays Old Nan died at 84 after a short illness. She can be heard in the trailers talking about fear and winter.

Didn't take too long for them to start killing off actors.

Wow, I don't know when this photo was released, but I'm sure I would have remembered it. Amazing shot of Sansa.

And here are the Stark kids hanging out together recently. GRRM notes that they've all become close friends. Fun note, Sophie Turner (Sansa) adopted the dog who plays Lady. That's just so perfect.

Apparently a certain implied gay relationship will be less implicit and more explicit on the show. (Link contains show spoilers for people who may not realize what I'm talking about.)

By the end of the third episode? How far into GoT does Loras appear? I remember him appearing before Renly, but not for a while into it.

I think Renly appears first. King's council and all that. And then Loras Tyrell fights in the tournament Robert demands be held for his new Hand.

    So much for subtlety.
