Steam wonkiness?
Anyone else having issues with Steam? I'm trying to play TF2 and it keeps telling me my "Steam ticket" has expired and I need to log back in. When I do so, it goes back to the games list, seemingly forgetting that I was trying to launch TF2. Then when I tell it to launch again, it tells me my ticket is expired again.
Is Steam wonky right now due to the L4D demo hitting, or is it something else? I should probably mention that I'm on a new machine and this is the first time I've tried to play a multiplayer Steam game on it, though my SP stuff has been working fine.

I don't have the issues you mention but Steam is hanging pretty consistently for me when I'm browsing the store or community. It didn't used to do this.

There is a steam client update that came out today. Might want to install that just to be safe.

Well, I've opened a ticket. Had a roommate confirm that his account is working fine, so it's neither a Steam nor a LAN issue. It's probably somehow connected with my migration to a different machine, although I don't see how. I've used the account on other machines before without incident, and the old system is sitting unplugged and inactive, so it can't be interfering.
Edit: Huh. The client update appears to have fixed it. Mind you, I restarted Steam several times during the process of trying to troubleshoot it. I don't know what the goddamn problem was.
