    Worst Interviewer Ever?

If I were Biden, I would have ended that interview with "... and fuck you." But I think the look on his face got the message through.

    That was REALLY REALLY bad.

    "No. That's a real question."

I still don't understand why people are focused on those Biden comments about the President being tested. Whoever is in will be tested. He's asked for support during that time. That's it. Why do people keep presenting it as though he were trying to say Obama would be the reason or the end of America or whatever people like this interviewer think?

The US media wants McCain to win so badly, sadly the painfully inept governance of the last 8 years has made that very difficult. Further more, the right's policies are inherently unstable and so they have to expect a serious economic downturn once in a while, it is the price of doing business their way.

But you needn't worry McCain supporters, in 4 years you will have a good chance to take back the government given your media domination. And in 8 years it is a lock, unless the government clamps down on your perversion of the process, which they won't.

Maybe a portion of the media (FOX), but the US media itself? Can you back that up? I don't think you can back that up.

At this point even FOX isn't completely in the GOP bag.

Yeah, one of the most stunning failures of the McCain campaign is how badly he lost the media.

By his logic, the media is completely dominated by conservatives since conservatives are given airtime instead of, say, being gunned down by Red Guards.

It's almost refreshing, given that most conservative media keeps going on about the *liberal* dominance of mainstream media!

One of the most stunning failures of the McCain campaign was thinking that the media adoration would continue once he stopped attacking the Republican establishment and became it.

Here's a YouTube link for anyone else who can't get the initial one to work. It's a pretty surreal interview, alright.

You can't say she's biased - after all, she also asked McCain about ACORN.

Is it me or does that interviewer looks like a mannequin? She had no emotion at all.

I have to say, she just asked the questions and let him respond.

Given time to respond Biden did just fine and shot down her assertions completely.

Sure, she is just parroting GOP attack lines, but she's not like Hannity or O'Reilly one of those asshats who wouldn't let Biden answer.

I do suspect she might be a zombie though, so that's cool.

    WFTV? Should be WTFTV, AMIRITE?

Can you imagine Sarah Palin being interviewed like this? I'd pay good money to see it!

Under an Obama administration, all our fine American fish, our trout, our bass, our catfish, would become a rubbery, gelatinous mess. Is that the legacy you want to leave our children?

Most of the media doesn't care who wins as long as it is a close race that drives up ratings. The media looks at this just like any football game. If it's over in the first quarter, ratings go to hell as people stop watching.

Exactly, at this point the media just hopes that McCain can hold Virginia so that everyone doesn't go to sleep by 8 PM eastern time knowing who the president is.

That was insanely bad. She posed the most ridiculous fringe right wing question as legitimate and then just blinked as Biden dropped the "you're a retard hammer of facts." Then she asked an even more ridiculous question and started the cycle all over again.

It sounds like the tv station is getting hammered with calls and emails about this interview. They also lost an interview with Jill Biden over it. So they might have pulled the video.

Or they might just be overwhelmed with traffic from the amount of publicity that this is getting.

I think this should get publicity but I don't think this is going to play the way the hard right that penned the questions hoped it would. First, it felt very obvious to me that the reporter was just acting as a mouthpiece for someone's questions. She just sort of blankly looked on while Biden responded and then mechanically moved onto the next question is a somewhat scripted fashion.

Also, her questions were posed with such transparent fan-the-flames hyperbole that you can't take them seriously. McCain needs to woo the independents and I imagine a lot of independents are laughing at that right now.

Barbara West's husband, Wade West, turns out to be a GOP consultant, who runs a media consultant firm, MediaPower.
