    At some point your skill will be high enough that you will no longer receive skill points for running lower level missions or harvesting lower level nodes. Although 61 strikes me as rather low, I'm surprised Tier 1 nodes aren't letting you get higher than that.

    The only items you'll need to unlock by going back to the trainers are new recipes for the crafting skills. Harvesting abilities (and associated missions) happen automatically as your skill levels go up.

    Yeah, my scavenging is like 150 or so at level 25 almost entirely from random gathering, so if I *do* send someone on a scavenging mission, they can come back with crafting materials I've never even heard of before....

    It's the mission and crafting skills which are the painful ones because of all the tedious UI management and also because of the gold, I mean, credit costs.

    So I found out something by accident: there is a whole batch of content on Nar Shadaa that you (apparently) have to double-back to after Tatooine if you want to experience it.

    Maybe the plan was to send me back there later, I don't know, but I was heading back to get some more lower-level craft harvesting done after I'd already started some Alderaan questing, and ran into someone at the space port who wanted to talk (I was expecting everything here to be too low-level).

    Turns out there is a lot more content on Nar Shadaa than I thought. This stuff is mostly 30+.

    Not sure if this matters for you, but you can control what level of resources they bring back: there's a drop-down on top of the quest dialog that lets you select an older set of crafting levels, which might be more relevant for what you're crafting now (along with being cheaper).

    That's probably the bonus quest series (named, strangely enough Nar Shaddaa: Bonus Quest).

    Usually you get that when you're sick to death of the planet and are trying to get the hell out of there. You run to the spaceport and find a questgiver in the port who has you run to an area you've never been to do start a new series.

    Sometimes the bonus quest series comes later in life - as you've found. You are sometimes sent to backtrack to planets you've visited before for various and sundry class quests. When you go back there, you usually stumble across those quests.

    Yeah, I've done the bonus quests before, but I wasn't expecting that this time since I'm so far beyond the planet's stated level range. Enjoyable :)

    That planets a lot less annoying when you have a speeder.

    There are no limits to the number of Slicing missions your companions can run per day. I'm expecting a big nerf to Slicing, as I'm only level 19 and approaching 100,000 credits. My suggestion is to only pick Slicing missions that provide Bountiful or Abundant yields. Even if there are no Bountiful/Abundant yield missions in the highest tier of missions available, go back to the previous tier and do grey missions -- you will net yourself a lot of credits.
    Yeah, if this is the case, a big nerf to slicing seems inevitable. Unless they limit the number of slicing missions you can complete in a day, they're effectively injecting infinite money into the economy.

    Yeah, I was just saying that I have no problems raising gathering skill levels with that as an example.

    Looking for some help on builds. In general for sure but right now I am looking for Smuggler. So what stats am I looking for. I know I need Aim. But what about Cunning? Seems like I could use it but not sure.

    I know for that OTHER game there are tons of resources telling you what specs you want on your gear and what you want to max out and at what level are you capped say for Crit and such but I haven't found that yet for SW. I know it is still very early on and frankly any "upgrade" gear I get is probably fine and stats don't matter all that much yet but it would be nice to know what all the stats mean.

    Anyway is there a good site/list etc out there?

    they adept the whole one primary stats on all gear + one endurance which every piece of gear have from wow, since all wow gears contain stamina.

    so for each class you can just focus on one primary stats because that stat will boost pretty much everything you do.

    pass 35+, almost all the gears will contain secondary stats, like crit/alacrity/surge.

    Crit = increase chance
    Alacrity = reduce cast time(haste)
    Surge = Increase Crit damage.

    There are also like shield block, defense, power etc etc as well. but focusing on primary stat is always good.

    As a smuggler you want cunning over everything else. Aim will give a tiny boost to range damage but it is intended for Troopers.

    Try this one. Also I discovered there is actually a manual online. Here's the official stats page. It's missing stuff though. Like I have equipment that increases "Defense Rating." What is that? Does that include tech damage and force damage or just melee and firing damage? I can't tell from reading the page.

    Good finds-- thanks.

    See this is what confused me-

    Aim Increases your aptitude with ranged weapons.
    Cunning Increases your aptitude with technological abilities.

    This from the official so I am thinking, oh I need Aim- but then when you see the nonofficial site then you get a better description of Cunning:

    Cunning: This stat affects your abilities when using tech. This stat modifies your ranged damaged, ranged critical chance, your tech damage and your tech critical chance. This is the primary stat for Smugglers and Imperial Agents.

    Definitely saving these links-and for others, these links cover all classes. Good stuff.

    ty

    Every west coast server but ours is "light"? Or did they introduce some new ones?

    EDIT: They must have added new ones. I didn't scroll down enough to see all the other queues.

    We've actually been doing relatively well compared to where we were during Early Access. During Early Access we were consistently the second to the most crowded server (as measured by queue length). The worst was "The Swiftsure" which at one point had queues twice as long as ours.

    As of this morning around 8am PST there were some 70 odd servers (including a mix of EST and PST servers) which were full and we were not. In fact we weren't even "Very Heavy" we were only "Heavy". So I'm hoping that means they added some hardware to "The Harbringer" because of its population.

    Since rumor has it we're the unofficial Oceanic server, I do wonder if the population will collapse when the real Oceanic servers come online in March.

    If you send them to sell junk, you do get points for sure. I think you may also on other sorts of missions. If you want to dodge points, summon a different companion. The ship droid is notably indifferent to whatever you do.

    For those of you still at work wondering how the server is doing, currently only a 20 minute queue. Not too bad, although I assume it will get longer as the evening progresses.

    I wish Bioware had estimated queue times on the server status page.

    After he changed all those seat cushions and freshened the air for you with nectar? For shame. I will say he's got the C3PO annoying whining tone down just right.

    600 person queue, will see how long it takes.

    ETA is 40 minutes, but in the head start, their ETAs were VERY conservative.

    I wouldn't mind start a new character with some of the qt3 people.

    but the guilds on harbringer server is totally out of question, the queue is way too long.

    So did the whole system crash? There are no servers listed, no system alerts, nada.

    Sigh, and steam is having issues getting postal 3 out. Just not a good day.

    They found at you were bad mouthing Bioware and blocked your IP number.

    On a more serious note, I can see all the servers they all look fine. So it looks like it really is you.

    They defunded the servers in order to pay for the UI.

    seriously though, i am waiting in queue right now and everything seems fine. I will see 30 minutes from now when i estimate i will get in at this rate.

    Well they are "the man" so that's their job. Anyway, not sure if you saw my updated post for non-snark in addition to snark, but I can see all the servers, so it looks like something is wrong on your side.

    This is what I've been doing as well. I suspect that it's bugged where you shouldn't be able to open lockboxes above your level. Ultimately, slicing in it's current form is by far the fastest way to make money. I have a monopoly on

    One hour queue, because it is better than three hour queue.
