    Levi Stubbs, RIP

    One of the great voices in R&B, I don't think there's anything he couldn't do with it. Too many great tracks to list but my favorites are "Walk Away Renee," "Bernadette," and of course the soul track that just burrows into the warmest part of your heart and paralyzes it with dread, "Standing in the Shadows of Love."

    I knew him best as Audrey II in the film version of Little Shop of Horrors. Awesome.
