I'm relatively new here, but from what I understand our flag WAS created as a tribute to Obama. Well, it was more of a prophecy really.
"In days yet come, the one known as 'O' shall arise. He will be of many races, and yet of none. He shall commune with animals and plumbers, yet they shall know him not. And yea, in these days, the 'O' shall reign triumphant, for his will be an iron fist, and a great empire shall be no more."
This prophecy came in the mail with my new car title. I just assumed 'O' stood for Oprah, but since she's really more related to Chicago, it could be about Obama.
On another forum one of the girls came up with this... Including it here for the rather loose references to a dictator.
That's actually a pretty cool looking flag, and it's from Ohio? Who knew.
I said the pledge of alliegance in the general direction of this one while growing up. It is the only state flag to not be a rectangle. Despite multiple tours of the State House, I cannot recall off hand of the "O" is short for Ohio. Regardless, its pretty boneheaded to not fact check something that obvious.
P.S. If you don't mind my asking, what part of Ohio are you in Robert?
I can't help wondering, if America wouldn't actually do better under an Obama dictatorship...

I didn't know dictator was a title. Usually dictators are called something like president or something.

Because I care about the United States of America and what future we may have much more than I care about being right or being wrong, having my candidate win or having my candidate lose.
