Rather than stink up the regular youtube thread with political garbage (which, uh, I already did once), this thread is for P&R-related clips/ads/whatever. I'll start:

Good actor.
Oh, here's something: Baracky 3

This man makes a great deal of sense.

I don't think it's being disputed that the Democrats were a large part of the problem. I do think it's fair to say that if the president for the last eight years wasn't so wrapped up in starting wars to defend his father's honor, he might have had the time and/or motivation to actually do something about it before now. Maybe back when the Republicans had full control of the Congress and could have pushed through whatever reforms they needed to.
Actually MattKeil, the responsibility for the current economic crisis lies with Democrats in congress during the Clinton years.
I know this because Bill Clinton said so on Good Morning America.
Matt, I'm glad you are coming around...mostly.
Did you read the NEW YORK TIMES article in 2003 that the Bush Administration was trying to reform? I guess he wasn't THAT distracted.
But you do realize that even with a number majority that it can be impossible to push through legislation? You know how government works right?
Maybe you need to watch School House Rock again.
Matt Damon's comment (about the Palin pick sounding like a shitty Disney plot) given life.

Okay, so far all I've learned from this thread is that there a lot of people out there with zero senses of humor and access to video equipment.

Apparently the original video poster/author took it down/made it private.
Sarah Heath Palin playing flute in the talent section of the Miss Alaska contest.
My viewpoint hasn't actually changed. Any movement is on your end.
Distracted enough to fail miserably. But at least he got that war up and running!Did you read the NEW YORK TIMES article in 2003 that the Bush Administration was trying to reform? I guess he wasn't THAT distracted.
I haven't actually seen it work in so long that it's sometimes hard to remember. That's when a bunch of rich white guys send a bunch of poor people's children to die for financial reasons, right? But you do realize that even with a number majority that it can be impossible to push through legislation? You know how government works right?
Bush first.Maybe you need to watch School House Rock again.

Call him when you start taking this a bit more seriously.
Not hot at all. In fact, anti-hot. If Sarah Palin could do something like this, I would vote for her no matter what she says about the giant floating Putin head.

EDIT: Oh noes, my favorite super-hawt Sissy Spacek baton twirling video has been removed from stupid YouTube! Why, YouTube, why???!!??

Skip to 3:17 for the meat. Irony being people criticized Kerry for being a flip-flop <queue Adree posting picture of shower flops>
I can't keep up with all the threads, so apologies if this has been posted already. Biden and Palin being asked the exact same question:

I pointed out in that other thread exactly what happened to that bit of legislation. It's failure had zero to do with the Democrats, and everything to do with Republicans letting it to die a quiet death in a Republican-controlled committee.
Why don't you explain it to us? Because as far as I know, if a party controls a simple majority of the House and the Senate, as well as the White House, then the only thing the minority party can do to hold up legislation that the majority party wants to pass is filibuster. So when did the Democrats filibuster that bill, exactly? Oh, that's right: never. Because it was killed by the Republicans before it ever reached the floor. But you do realize that even with a number majority that it can be impossible to push through legislation? You know how government works right?
Maybe you need to stop repeating things that you know to be false.Maybe you need to watch School House Rock again.
Olbermann: Palin == Bush in a dress. Great contrast of Palin's "aw shucks" outsider folksiness with Bush's in 2000. And it underlines the common GOPAC connection.
A bizarre Bridge to Nowhere song from Harry Shearer (that's his wife in the video).
Hey Sarah Palin, to the tune of Hey There Delilah.
As for Franken, I'd really like to see him use his comedy skills as part of his political style. A top-notch satirist in office could be one of the best bullshit deflators this country could hope for.
