All but one, who will instead make some gag about how the jerk next to him answered his shoe in the middle of the movie.
Ok, how many reviews will use the catch-phrase "missed it by that much" in their review? I saw that the Washington Post used it. That's one.
All but one, who will instead make some gag about how the jerk next to him answered his shoe in the middle of the movie.
Would you believe most of them? Oh, well. Would you believe half of them? No? Okay. Would you believe some of them?
I'd assumed the poster was talking more about the triteness of the phrase ..
That aside, Dirt, I'm not sure what your self-answering questions lead to. Would you believe one of them? Sandwich.
That joke, in the show, always lead to nowhere. It was the point.
We will be watching the corniest move of the year.
... and loving it.
A.V. Club used it: http://www.avclub.com/content/cinema
I'm not sure what that means, either. You need to give me some footnotes, or something.
Newsarama, too.
No problem [1]
[1] He made a topical joke, and it blew right by you, and despite not knowing anything about the show and therefore not knowing what you were talking about, you tried to call him out on it, and looked a bit silly, and now you keep digging yourself in deeper.
The problem here is that Dirt usually has throwaway posts and so it is easy to see how such a mistake could be made. That said, zen has to get some kind of experience point penalty for being clueless.
The best use of the 'would you believe?' is this toy packaging for a prototype get msart pingpong ball gun from back in the day that was never released. It actually made me laugh out loud, its the same joke, but for some reason funnier in the context of a pump action pingpong ball launcher with packaging that says-
ACCURATE UP TO A TWELVE MILE RANGE!!
Ah. Well, would you believe 12 feet?
I may catch a matinee in the morning. A clip they showed on The Daily Show the other night caught my attention. It may be smarter than I gave it credit for.
We saw this tonight and it was a lot of fun.
Saw it this evening, enjoyed it a lot. Pretty good comedy. And any film that puts Freebie and the Bean together works for me.
Solid, if not spectacular, opening night box office numbers at $13.5m. That's a bit less than Zohan opened at but about half what Sex and City did night one.
Seeing this in 3 hours. I'll be sure and report back if it ends up raping my childhood memories of the show.
Saw this yesterday afternoon. It's solid and I really enjoyed it.
Yeah, this was a fun movie. It's weird, because it's not a spoof or slapstick the way the show was, so if you're expecting that, you'll be disappointed. It's more of a comic-book-level action-adventure, along the lines of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." But it's fun, funny in parts, and has a great cast. Not amazing, but fun and worth seeing. Thumbs up.
I saw it and thought it was... okay. Lots of aspects of it didn't hang together very well, like...

I didn't understand how Smart could be so bumbling as to shoot himself repeatedly with his mini-crossbow and be disarmed (literally) by 99, yet be so kick-ass at the mansion. They couldn't seem to figure out whether to portray him as inexperienced and clumsy or book-smart and effective.
Jesus Christ. You watched that whole movie, and your complaint about its verisimilitude is that Smart's prowess seems to fluctuate? This is like when a bunch of us went to see "National Treasure" and then someone on this board complained that it was unrealistic how easy the scientist's password was to guess.
Just saw it. Really, really enjoyed it. Though I think Anne Hathaway is hotter than donut grease, think Steve Carrel is always enjoyable, love the Rock and have a tremendous soft spot for Terrence Stamp. Then you toss in

a cameo by Patrick Warburton, and I'm just absolutely sold.
