For what it's worth, Tom Siddell writes Gunnerkrigg Court. I like the comic and his art, so I donated a chunk of money and asked for his take on the Quarter to Three logo, which resulted in this image:

Reminds me of Rat Fink for some reason, I'd paint it on the side of my van. I'm not a fan of the original Q wrapped around the clock, it looks like an alien appendage.

I call shenanigans. I love what Siddell did, but you can't really compare it to the lone 'Q' from the classic logo, taken out of context. Here's the full logo:
It was made for us years ago by my brother-in-law, Grendel Pete, who's quite an artist in a number of mediums. It's a pretty straightforward bit of work, but GP is capable of a lot more than simply a font and a cool creepy eyeball. Check this guy out:
At any rate, I'm going to try to put Siddell's logo over the forum once vBulletin stops returning errors every time I try to get into it. I hate that I'm so tech retarded...

Hey, I don't like change. While nice, the new logo doesn't have the history of the old one.
The new logo looks like something that belongs on the side of Scooby Doo's van.

I like it 'cause it's different. I don't think it'd be awesome to ALWAYS be there, but a little novelty for a couple months never hurt nobody.

It was never intended to be a replacement logo, just something for fun since I was already donating. The competition angle is just Rimbo's stupidity. Tom ended up liking the logo enough to want to use somewhere, so it probably will be.

Yeah, what he said. This is just a silly poll. It is not an Officially Proposed New Logo; it's "proposed" in the same sense that a guy looking at pr0n is proposing to the gal sitting spread-eagled on the page. Nobody actually gives a damn if Tom changes the logo to the "farm animal of the month" if he feels like it, do they? I'd hope not.
Try going through the threads about the Office. It's actually a reference to a line of Tom's from a guest appearance on the show.
As Brad said, it comes from one of Tom's few lines when he was on The Office. He saw Pam's art at her art show, and referred to it as "motel art."
I still like the first (original) one best. The new one looks too messy when scaled down.
I dunno Tom, something about that rabbit pic creeps me out.
