You didn't read this thread, did you?: http://www.quartertothree.com/game-t...ad.php?t=42824
I'm very new here and thought I should at least post a general hello, before I start horning myself into discussions willy-nilly. Yes, I said will-nilly, and I'm not above saying it again as the situation warrants.
So... hello. :)
I did not, nor did I hear the podcast(s) in question although with Gamespot being mostly balls and such this should come as no surprise. Regardless, here we are.
Dude, horn away.
Into conversations, I mean. That's what I did, and I haven't ruined Qt3 yet. Well, mostly.
Tell us a little about yourself. Introduce yourself, eh?
After more than 1000 posts, DoomMunky has learned nothing.
I highly recommend reading about some of the posters here, as well as posting a little about yourself. We really need a stickied thread like this somewhere, probably not in the Games forum though.
They're so cute when they're all naive and eager.
I wish I lived in Nova Scotia. Beautiful there isn't it.
Welcome to the board.
Welcome Datter. There's a couple games we're all participating in, here on the forum. Everything from Vampire in the Everything Else forum, to the beta server of http://www.ikariam.org in the Games forum. Jump on in!
About myself. I was going to avoid this to stay away from the Lookit me I'm an attention whore aspect of things, but it's come to this.
I'm an artist/animator/creative director/production manager etc currently working outside of The Industry™. Prior to this gig I was self-employed for almost a decade, making me officialyl old... or something. During that time I did a lot of work for various game dev joints doing things like in game models, texturing, cinematics, storyboards, design, box art etc.
Some samples (of various sorts) are below for the sake of being complete and never having to dangle myself in the harsh new-guy light again.
That's all I can come up with for the time being, and sorry for the size of the pics if they're too big.
If you get out of the city (such as it is) and into the countryside it's like a cross between Scotland and something out of Tolkien. I've referred to it as the Shire on ocassion thus making me a Hobbit, and a complete nerd at the same time.I wish I lived in Nova Scotia. Beautiful there isn't it.
Thanks for the welcomes. :)
See what happens when you sissies are nice to the new guy?
He posts 3D models from terrible games?
*not really. I could care less who you are or what you do. You just need to be bent to the hivemind.
And then, it won't really matter.
Well, I think it's interesting.
Just so long as Cosmic Hippo is interested. The rest is gravy.
Damn Canadians are everywhere...what I meant to say was, WELCOME!
I'm sorry. We're not big on being cheery and welcoming here. You'll not get flamed as long as you're not a jerk but introductory posts aren't really that interesting. It's what you add to the general discussion, not who you are, that matters.
On the list of things I regret, this post ranks fairly low... but it's in there.
Well, pretty much.
I guess Haiti is pretty hot.
