Has anyone had any experience with Chaintech graphics cards?

I find I know nothing about these new GPU manufacturers. I usually buy Gigabyte graphics cards (Which I have never had a moment's hastle with.) but I can get a good deal on a Chaintech 9600gt.

What is the quality of these cards like?

I can't help you, as I don't have any personal experience with them, but Chaintech has been around for at least 10 years. In 2000, I was deciding between a Leadtek card and a Chaintech card.

I know this isn't comparable, but I have a Chaintech nForce4 Ultra motherboard that has been quite good. Of course, this only means Chaintech was good X years ago when this board was new :)

Well it's good to hear that they have been around for a while.

I've only noticed them around here over the last three or four years but that is probably a distribution issue.

they usually manufacture for other major brands. if you can get it cheap (their av-710 sound card is great for low budget high quality htpc) there's no problem but you have to make sure you can obtain replacement/repair from it locally or the purchase place since these lesser brand cards (or even the bigger taiwanese brands) have ZERO for support.
