    Iron Dukes

Why isn't there a thread about this game here yet???

Adventure in the high seas, fight other pirates, dive in the ocean in search for treasure!

It’s 1899, America. In a secret base just off the coast of New Orleans, renowned scientist Professor Thurlow Magoon puts the finishing touches on a massive brass steamship built for speed, greed, and scavenging. As his swarthy crew of treasure hunters gathers around for their orders, the ship’s radio crackles to life. “... Reports of a dangerous phantom submarine may be connected to the deadly warlock known only as Mister Edison...” The Professor turns to his crew and raises his goggles, “Alright scumbags, looks like we got some competition.”
    From the website

Iron Dukes is a game where you accumulate more and more items until you can defeat the large and colorful end boss. Unlike other conventional R.P.G.’s, Iron Dukes has small action sequences that occur when you fight a monster, navigate a storm, or dive under the sea to haul up treasure. Iron Dukes takes place in a fictionalized version of late 19th century America in which Teddy Roosevelt rides a steam-powered horse and Thomas Edison is the leader of a band of roving warlocks. You play as Professor Thurlow Magoon, renowned scientist and greedy treasure hunter.

It's great fun, but there's only one "level." Once you finish the first ocean segment, the game ends. :-/

Pretty slick but you can only fight with one crewman at once? It would be nice if it had more tactics other than 'click here quick' in combat.

This was a lot of fun until it crashed, losing all my progress because I couldn't figure out how to save. Though if the first segment of ocean is all there is to it for now, I guess I didn't miss much.
