That's what you get for using a non-GSM carrier. Switch to Cingular or T-mobile, go to GSMarena.com to find yourself a nice phone sans camera.
I'm starting a new job next month and they have a strict 'no camera phone' rule. I am relocating and my family is lagging behind for a month, so I really want to be accessible at all times. I have a nice (new 6 months ago) Samsung now, and we have a family plan through Verizon.
From Verizon I can buy a phone full retail and swap it out, or add another line and have the one I have now languish until my younger son is ready.
The phone choice seems to suck - there is a Motorola 'Coupe' entry-level and a LG phone that looks and feels awful. On the other end there is the Blackberry 8830 or the Treo 700p ... and each of those would require a data plan.
Anyone have any thoughts about other phones? If I have to use a different carrier, that is OK ... I don't really want a PDA phone, as I already have a PDA ... I just want a decent phone with reasonable features - not something that was too crappy to give our 11-year old.
