Will probably take you longer than that to figure out how to start a server. Then allow a week for someone to figure out how to connect to your server. Then another week to figure out how to find each other in game.
Just picked up He-who's-name-shall-not-be-mentioned's Collectors Edition of Universal Combat. I have an extra computer which isn't doing anything here at the moment. Would anyone be up for some Universal Combat MP this weekend if I started a server?

A ha ha ha ha! Ha ha hee. Hee hee. Man, that's a good one, E5. Hoo boy.

You bought that? Seriously?
Backing slowly out of this thread.
Cross and holy water at the ready...
Bolt the fucking door and weld it shut.
Is this is that strange kind of multiplayer game where you score the most points by not playing?
Ummm, I played the original Universal Combat when it came out...never had any problems setting up a server or anything. And I was, uh, like...serious, Tom.:)
Make fun of me, will you? I'll show you all!

There! I summoned it! So there!
You fool! The Beast googles his name a hundred times a day. A HUNDRED times a day!
I'll show you! I'll summon the Beast! And his minions too!
*the following sentiments are for purposes of sorcery only and do not reflect my true opinion of Universal Combat*
Universal Combat sucks monkey balls!
Derek Smart is a liar!
3000AD should be shut down on charges of impersonating a game studio!
You fool! You're meddling with powers you cannot comprehend!

The only safe place now is Cleve's bomb shelter. ;)
Speaking of which, is Grimoire out yet?
Stare as I might at your post, I come back to one question every time:
What the hell is wrong with you?
You're a true glutton for punishment E5. Which EB did you buy it from?
Bought it from the Gamestop by JC Penney's in Roosevelt Field.
I've always liked the Universal Combat series. It's like a giant playpen in space, and the learning curve never bothered me.
This thread made me laugh. Thank you all for that on a friday morning.
I'm scared and confused.
Universal Combat: SE is not a bad game, other than the fact that it has over a decade of baggage attached to it. The UI is still mired in the early 90's, but there's a lot to play here.
what's the difference between the free UC download and the SE version? Better graphics?
