The game is out now. I just got mine from my GameStop, who is always on point with their releases. The sales girl said they started selling them on Thursday. The game runs great so far on medium setting with more than about 3/4 of the extra detail stuff turned on. The look is not ground breaking on that level, however it still looks and plays good. The combat is intense with lots of orders to follow, and Russians coming at you from all corners. There seems to be plenty of Air, and artillery support so far, then again, it is early game. Could you believe this game is in a paper back? WTF? Any way, like any other gamer I haven't looked at the instruction manual. I do know its 45 pages though. I did multiplayer in the demo, and it felt like utter chaos. So I haven't bothered with it in the full version, yet. The main story so far have me interested, along with the other stories the game throws in on you for your character. You are also introduced to other commanders, whom fight along side of you (NPC) and they also seems to have their own stories too.
This is very refreshing for me, especially after purchasing RE4 for PC yesterday. Which by the way will be up for trade soon.

I didnt like the chaos of the single player demo, the way it played O basically had to play twice. Once to identify all future objectives, and once more to actually win the mission. That and the inability to pause and give orders were a show stopper for me. Get rid of either however and I would get this in a heart beat

Can you play either side in singleplayer? Any thoughts about the campaign? Is it one of those risk-type conquer the world (except in this case I suspect it's "reconquer America") campaigns?
It looked great when I played it, but my desktop computer blew chunks soon thereafter and my laptop doesn't have enough disk space, so I'm not playing it anytime soon.
It's a scenario based campaign with frequent orders to "capture this strong point" or "hold this bridge".

well...the actual release date is Tuesday the 18th. My order is processing, so it will ship monday, and I will have it come tuesday. Not sure why so many places are selling them early, but, oh well.

Hold your horses; it won't be released until the 18th. There is, however, a demo (which I have not played).
Alas, being in south America means that it'll probably arrive:
a) In Spanish.
b) Three months from now, when I'll be back in the states.
THUSLY, D2D or some other solution would be ideal. The demo has been played, it has been weighed and measured, and has been found as satisfactory.

No, if you check Massives forums you'll see that stores are releasing it early in the US. Means people will be able to play the SP component but massive won't open the MP part until the 18th.
