I listen to HFS and Weasel as well back in the 80s. I couldn't tell you much beyond that though. It was THE station I listened to for a decade but i can't remember play lists.
Okay, back the 80's I used to listen to D.C.'s progressive station WHFS. One of my favorite memories was, every Friday evening around 5 or 6 PM, a DJ named Weasel would start playing a whole slew of party songs to get folks in the mood to go out.
It always started with Joe "King" Carrasco's "Party Weekend."
But I'm racking my brain trying to remember the rest of the songs he usually played. Want to get those together again if I can.
Obscure question I know. But any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

WHFS was re-branded a couple years ago into 99.1 "El Zol!" I guess they play latin party music now? By the time I started to listen to them (the 90's) they had turned into another generic, vaguely alternative, rock station.
Rockin' with the Weasel...
He was still there in the early 90's when I lived there.
Mostly, I remember the "gay" bit they'd play with alternating "Jim" and "Spock" over & over.

I remember Weasel because when I started listening to HFS I worked 1-10 so my commute in was his lunch time new wave of the 80's show.
My favorite HFS jock was Gina Crash. She will make a great 2nd wife someday.
Last I heard of Weasel he was at a classic rock station...I want to say 94.9 but my radio memory is getting hazy and Siriused out.
Weasel now does the morning show on "The Globe", 94.7. He plays a mix of the usual radio stuff with the occasional throwback to the 80's glory days. I enjoy his show more than most of the morning crap, since I'm an old fart like y'all who can remember the 80's.
I think Surf (sp?) is also at 94.7 now. It's become an 'HFS refugee camp of sorts.
