I blame on the misleading thread title, I swear there was a post around here about SC4 pwning by with lot's reldan posts.

anyways the 2 katana girl was design by the same artists who worked on Gantz. An adult theme manga full of violences and big boobs girl.

If that's not the official Engrish tagline, it should be.

Yeah, but it had actually gotten into a full-on discussion of gameplay for a few pages there before someone brought it back into this discussion.

I was honestly hoping it would, you know, stay there, because this is the Games forum, not the lingerie critique forum.

Excuse me, but I believe almost any kind of armor would be a mere hindrance when compared to the cutting power of a light saber. Therefore removing as much as possible to allow for maximum freedom of movement would be the only logical choice. </comicbookguy>

But you've yet to explain how it's offensive. You said naked or nearly naked people don't offend you in real life, but somehow they do in a video game. I have no problem with someone saying they think the armor designs in the game are dumb and inappropriate. But "offensive"? Come on.

This is a little silly. Ofcourse people have different reactions to big boobs in real life and big boobs that were consciously drawn into a game. One is a biological crap shoot, the other is an artistic expression.

Now I am of the opinion that Telefrog and many others are getting upset over old news. But I don't think telefrog really needs to explain why he finds video game boobs more offensive than real boobs. At the risk of ranting, that's a little like saying "you like killing things in video games, but somehow you don't like killing things in real life. explain."

On a fetish scale of "poop" to "stern, but secretly passionate young English teachers", "flesh-toned polygons" might even fall right of center. But, ultimately, even extreme softcore fetish is still fetish-- and is still pretty creepy if you aren't into it.

As I said before, I have no issue with big boobs in real life, big boobs in porn, or big boobs in porn videogames. I have no issue with scantily clad women in either real life or other media. All of the above is situational and dependent on appropriateness.

Big, barely covered boobs on my pole-dancers? Yes, please. Big, barely covered boobs on my swordfighters? Well, unless they just happened to get challeneged to a duel while streetwalking or getting ready to film a porn...

That's not the issue, though. Like I said, having a problem with the design is one thing, but being offended by it is something completely different.

I think it's cute how you've got "poop" at the "extreme" end of the scale.

I think I'm gonna get the PS3 version. Is there a good fighting controller for the PS3, or will I be fine with the dualshock?

If you're someone who can play fighting games on a d-pad, the dualshock is the best of the lot. I have the PS3 version and love it.

Yes, but it's not on the far end of the scale.

Project Soul IS the old tekken team, tekken 4 that is. That shows in the high number of Just Frames, larger emphasis on combo's, and a general higher level of technical skill required to play at a high level. That being said, i'm liking the game a great deal. I do miss some thing's about the earlier incarnations, but its light years ahead of 3, and i do think it is better than 2 in some ways.
The online play is simply a joke and a way to spend time or try out a combo or move. The difference in play is amazing and things online just promote setups and tactics that would never work in real life.
2 things I really want in the game:
    1) A patch to fix some of the wacky stuff...How come asta's shit just plain misses sometimes? hitboxes, etc
    2) a better joytstick for the 360 that doesn't cost 300 dollars. I switched over to the Mad Catz controller in lieu of the default 360 controller OR the Hori EX2. Why?

    Madcatz:
$25 versus $50-60 for either of the other ones
My friends can play it - non of them will touch a stick due to the sharp learning curve
The d=pad is MUCH better than the MS one
The buttons are WORSE, but not that bad and are workable
Cable, but so is the Hori
Reliable - the Hori EX2/SCiv/VF5/DOA4 sticks are notorious for breaking down soon in spirited play

I pray for the improved d-pad version to come out with SF4.

My main complaint with SC4 is the Tekkenness. I fucking hate Tekken, slow, boring, and I can feel some of the influence. Where it used to have little delay flowing from move to move, now a non-combo attack takes a bit too long to follow the last attack.

The improvements are still worth it, but there is some annoyance from the just frames and higher focus on memorization. SC1/2 were spectacular in that even if you had no clue, you could almost organically make combos, now it feels much more arbitrary.

Maybe I'll get my wish and see a patch that reduces that, but I doubt it. Even without it, I'll keep playing for a long, long time.

The only thing that was botched was the decision to make console exclusive characters in the first place. Luckily I don't care about either of them.

At one point, they were seriously trying to claim that there were 'no plans' to make Vader available as 360 DLC and visa versa.

Man, as much as I want Vader, I find myself far too pissed off about Namco charging me, again, for shit already on the disc. They do this with every release, and can eat a dick frankly.

I'll wait and see if there's a tie-in with the clone wars movie on DVD or something.

I don't really have a problem with them charging $5 for the exclusive characters. SC2 had platform-exclusive characters too, but with absolutely no way to ever get the others. Surely this is an improvement on that, right?

So, uh, is Yoda worth bothering with or is he too weird/cheap to play due to his size? I have to say I've had a lot of fun with Vader, but Yoda looks too much like one of those tiny joke characters.
