Riiiiiddddgggeeeee Raceeerrrrrr.... 1 1 1
We admit that Xbox Live is just here to sell more maps and gouge the consumers.
No one is actually going to download this demo, are they?
Just buy the damn game. It's a good game, no need for the demo.
This game is not as good, but please buy it anyway. It's like GTA! We swear!
We're not trying anymore.
Stimulating? Oh, it's DOA.

wtf, alex, you trying to get us digg'd?
I just submitted my Flickr link, so don't worry, no digging here.
those are hilarious.
What the hell... are those, um, "descriptions" actually written by the publishers?
Programmers, probably. There's a lot of text to fill in for the submission forms, I can imagine people not quite understanding what some of the fields are actually for.
More like people entering joke text for submissions to PartnerNet and then forgetting to change it for the real thing.
"Buy this game!" is almost exactly what I typed in as placeholder sell text, now you come to mention it. Note to self - verify submission data during alpha.
I passed on the info the LIVE Marketplace folks. Remember, kids, you never know who might be reading your metadata. :)
I was wondering when you were going to show up. I have pictures though!
Hey, glad you have the pictures, so they'll know which ones to fix. :)
My guess is that that some "developer" metadata ended up going straight to the LIVE service when the new Marketplace blade went up. Not sure, though -- it's a different group that handles all this stuff.
So I just added another step to a process and probably forced someone to go look at all the rest of the data to see if there's any other odd text.
Some intern is going to hate me.
Yes, but his pain is our funny.
So, its okay.
I've had to be pretty strict on hidden stuff for the last few years. No matter how good people think they are about hiding it, it gets out there.Originally Posted by XPav

So, which one of us is Tony Carnevale? And if we start new threads, do we need to have an optional "don't fucking steal this for a joystiq headline" tag?
Second time within like, 3 weeks this has happened, people Joystiq'n us. I like to read Joystiq, but seriously? Stealing off of a general Video game Forum?Originally Posted by quatoria

What exactly are they stealing? I think it's tacky of them to report things that some guy said on some forums (no offense XPav, I mean in general), but I think of it as more damaging to their credibility and professionalism than somehow hurting us.
Yeah... Whatever, same thing.

Dude, come on. A lot of people have played that game. Its just that people like me didn't get very far in it because I can't figure out how to use a toaster and some toothpaste in a pressure situation to kill enemies. :POriginally Posted by Charles
