Can they throw Parid Hilton more jail time for this?

She was photographed driving around twice in the past two days.
    http://www.wwtdd.com/post.phtml?pk=2253

Her defense claimed she didn't know she wasn't supposed to be driving. Since now she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt she can't drive after her infamous court appearance... isn't it likely this should show she was lying in court. Can they lengthen her jail sentence for lying under oath?
Since her license is still suspended, can't she have jail time added for yet another set of infractions?
Or is this kind of photographic evidence useless?

Man, what a wonderful bit of symmetry:

North American Parids are excellent organisms for
research on the evolution of avian reproductive
behavior, and how these are influenced by intra and
    interspecific interactions. As cavity-nesting
birds, they exhibit high reproductive success . . . As social birds,
their reproductive behavior is shaped by group
dynamics, including flock hierarchy and territorial
    behavior.
I never could quite put my finger on it, but you're right. She's a cavity-nesting bird if ever I saw one.

Wow... Such contempt for the law.

45 days is not long enough.

No it's not, it's perfectly understandable! She's a high-profile scofflaw who deserves to go to jail, where's the malice in that?

    Oh I'm malicious about it.

Her celebrity has been thrust in my face at every turn. I can't read a newspaper, watch TV, go to the internet or even out in public without hearing something about someone with no talent, no skill, no legitimate claim to fame. She embodies everything I despise about celebrity culture.

And it is with great satisfaction that I sip my schadenfreude and take all of this in. I don't want to ever see another girl with a rat in her handbag, I don't ever want to see someone fake that fake smirk Paris always has... I know it won't happen, but just let me dream for 6 beautiful weeks that celebrity obsession will die, that somehow Hilton's going to prison will begin a domino effect where people turn off their TVs, stop reading celebrity mags and stop talking about them.

That's exactly it. I hate reading her name and seeing her face all over the fucking internet. She does nothing. Nothing. She can't even fall back on having acting talent or singing ability. She's useless and yet she's all over my web browser.

They don't just want jail. They want more time than the excessive 45 days already adjudicated. They want more sex tapes FROM JAIL! A shanking from a 200lbs. lesbian might be a fetish for some of you but I would rather her come out alive.

She didn't make herself....you fuckers did. This isn't Madonna. She is a very stupid girl with a large trust fund. If the trust fund was removed would it be so sweet for you assholes?

She pays a PR guy to keep herself in the news (Elliot Mintz), so to me she must take the bad with the good. This is my favorite article about how PR firms create the news: http://www.paulgraham.com/submarine.html

In case you're wondering what article Houngan is referring to (since it's not even in the all-knowing wiki):

She's not a victim of the media, she manipulates it to feed her own ego and lifestyle.

Why am I an asshole for expressing my annoyance at this talentless shit being thrust in my life against all my desires? She wasn't made, she makes herself. She has a PR company working for her. She goes out to public events. And people read about and watch and discuss her like she matters. It's almost enough to make me wish for the coming of the Jihad.

And no, the trust fund doesn't matter. I wouldn't care if she was a hood rat who got famous for being famous, I'd still despise her for it.

I don't even believe in glamorizing people with actual talent. I don't like all the attention paid to the personal lives of sports stars, musicians, actors, and politicians.

Who is this "you" that you keep referring to? I don't see anyone on this site talking about how great Paris is.

There are plenty of wealthy heiresses who do not pay PR firms to keep themselves in the news. All of them, really, except for that one exception.

The only people responsible for who she is, other than herself, is her parents. I never found anything about her interesting... well, until now, that is. :)

I think you are missing the point. We don't want to be entertained by her misfortune. We're just happy that we can stop seeing her for a while. That's not bread and circuses, it's peace and quiet.

Ah Gary, no. She was never an actress. She was never a celebrity. She never needed the press to feed her lifestyle. Her entire claim to fame is a Page Six article in the Post when she started to go off the deep end. It became funny for some people to watch her antics. She never thrust herself out in that way until certain sycophants thought it profitable. Then she was too stupid not to listen.

She is a fool and a scofflaw. She is very stupid and very rich. She is also a 26 year old girl.

Yes, and she acts likes she is above the law "Why can't I drive without I license?". She obviously gets it from her spoiled rich mother, who catcawed the judge and screamed the equivalent of "Don't you know who I AM?" at him in court.

Her going to court shows the mob, who is always bubbling and ready to rise up and riot, that the rich, spoiled, uber-privileged brats of the world cannot buy their way out of justice. Not only is her sentence fair and required, it's downright patriotic.

What Ben Sones said. And the longer we don't have to see her, the better.

Same thing with Britney Spears. Now that she's gone back to her natural trailer park state, there's only so many "look how bad Britney looks!" articles that can be published before the fact that she looks like an overweight trailer tramp is no longer news. News will be when she looks good again, which won't be for a while. So she's out of the spotlight. We're given a reprieve.

The bad news is that someone else will just take the place of Britney and Paris after they're gone. Their kind of fame is fleeting. Even if the fast living doesn't catch up with them, someone else will come by who is cuter, richer, and trashier, and news about Paris will be soooo last week.

The people who have bucked this trend and have continued to be able to court the press at will into their autumn years you can count on one hand: Cher, Madonna, and Elizabeth Taylor. But note that at least two of those had measurable talent in the entertainment profession, and the other was a successful entertainer anyway.

You mean never except for the few seasons of a television show that she starred in, about herself being herself amongst the common dirt people, right?

ScurvyPig, you are mistaking Paris Hilton for Jessica Lynch.

There is nothing accidental to Paris' fame. She is greedy for attention. She craves it. We have plenty of evidence to show this, and there is no evidence that Paris is somehow the unwitting pawn. She is not someone who is being thrust into the public viewpoint for the benefit of others; this is all part of a very well-coordinated self-branding movement designed to turn her fame into an enterprise -- cosmetics, albums, that sort of thing. Which is exactly what she's done with it.

I can't believe the judge didn't charge Paris with contempt when her mother, in the gallery, screamed out. That would've have been real justice. Arrest that rich bitch for screaming at a judge when her daughter is sentenced to jail. Have any of you ever been in a courthouse? How many Moms can they fit in the "Moms Outburst of Anger Wing"? How many orange jumpsuits do they have?

    Patriotic...oh Christ.

Which really outlines her obsession with attention. What, pray tell, does a billionaire need with a few thousand, if it something unpleasant, as ScurvyPig suggests? I don't like to go to parties particularly, and for the princely sum of 1,000,000th of my personal worth, you couldn't get me to cross the room, much less leave the house and wander among strangers. Unfortunately you also couldn't buy a piece of candy, but that's my problem.
