Crackdown: Incompatible version??
After being out of commission for almost 2 weeks, I finally got my Xbox back from the repair depot on Thursday. I gorged this weekend, getting into NBA Street Homecourt (great game!), and jamming through the Solo Shai Gen missions in Crackdown.
Last night, however, a friend tried to join my Crackdown campaign, and was told that my version was "incompatible" with his. Thinking it might have been something to do with the four-pack, I deleted it from my hard drive and redownloaded... still no dice. I'm connected nicely to Live, but I haven't tried any multiplayer since I've had the console back. I've already called them about the Arcade games I've downloaded (they need to be repaid for using a new Silver account to re-register them on the new console), so that process is underway.
A Google search turns up a couple other instances of this error, but no resolution. Before I called Xbox Tech Support, I thought I'd check in here to the mighty Qt3 Groupthink and see if anyone knew a) what was causing the error and b) how to fix it!
did HE download the four-pack?
Yup, fo' sho'. I'm wondering if my save game file is somehow incompatible now?
