Finished Killer 7

I know it's an older one, but it seems to have had a little resurgence around here lately. And will probly never entirely go away because of the post count titles.
So in the spirit of B.D.roman's, "MAD CHESTA NIGGAZ <-not a racial epithet", I want to talk MAD SPOILAZ NIGGAZ.

First, though, did anyone play Killer 8 much? I started to, but found that young Harman with his machine gun made things really easy. Are there other reasons to play through Killer 8?

Anyway. What's up with the story? I still can't figure it out. So Garcian is really Emir Parkreiner, and the six other personas are schizophrenic manifestations of people he'd killed before in the Union Hotel. The other people he's murdered show up eventually as apparitions to give him advice. Fine.

So now how does Harman figure into the mix? And what about Angel? Cloudman and the guy who swore to fulfill Cloudman's destiny after the Smiths killed him? How does Blackburn, the assassin that traffics in children's organs, work in? And the Power Rangers?

And where did we go with all the stuff about Heaven Smiles? I mean, okay: Japan controls the US presidential election by rigging ballots at the schools. So why do they need Heaven's Smiles? Or was it even Japan who was behind the Heaven's Smiles? And what did the UN Party have to do with it?

At a lot of points during the game, I found myself thinking of that old Kubrick quote where he mentioned that sometimes the feel of a thing is more important than the think of the thing. Some of that shit was utterly incomprehensible. While I wasn't really gaga about the railshooter gameplay and was baffled by the story, I was overwhelmed by the presentation and the cool feel of it kept me wanting to see how it ended.

Anybody else played this recently and have any thoughts on the plot?

Harman Smith was the leader of Killer7, and was working for the Japanese to rig the presidential election, since he was the principle of that school at one time. From what I gathered he was also killed by Emir in the Union Hotel with the rest of the assassins and stuffed into that safe. Then I guess he becomes just another schizophrenic manifestation of Emir's in his trailor. All the details surrounding the Union Hotel are kinda blurry right now.

Finished it over a year ago, don't recall much of the plot at this point.

However, the "You're Fucked!" soundbyte became a ringtone on my cellphone. I've also had a few awkward moments when it blurted out at the worst occasion...I should probably change it. But it's too damned cool!

Don't know how right the person is but it makes pretty good sense in a weird way. Also beating killer 8 mode unlocks another mode but nothing story wise.
