It's about a year and a half old at this point.
I was a little surprised to see Supreme Commander in the clearance rack, given how widely lauded it is, myself. Though the store I saw it at had no clearance price tag on it, so I thought maybe it had been misplaced.
(I mean, I don't like the game myself, but everyone else seems to.)

PGR4 is the game to watch right now at Target. It's $29.98 on the clearance rack. One more drop and I'm in. I liked 3 a lot, but I couldn't bring myself to pay more than $20 for another iteration so soon after the first.
Even one dollar for ET:QW is too goddamn much.
You're so high right now.
Well, it's easy enough for someone to decide. Just based on the demo I played for QW:ET, I agree with wumpus. But obviously, this is from the perspective of someone who tried to play it as a single player game. If you're thinking of picking it up as a bargain, I'd say do yourself a favor and play the demo first. You might really enjoy it and think its a great bargain, or like me and wumpus you might decide that it's not even worth having for free.
Whatever QW:ET may or may not have been in terms of a multiplayer gaming experience, it wasn't a Quake game by any stretch of the imagination and for me that made it the most disappointing release of last year.
Not quite Quake, not quite Enemy Territory, not quite Battlefield.
Hey! You got your peanutbutter in my chocolate!
I picked it up for $10 because I can't resist an AAA shooter for $10. In my 30 minutes of play before my PC went screwy, it struck me as a game with a steep learning curve. That damn keyboard command chart they threw in made me long for the simplicity of a 360 controller.
But yeah, it's not very Quake-y.
Amazon DotD: Culdcept Saga for $26. Bought it used for that price a month ago, making me a sad panda now.
Also, God of War II for $20 at Best Buy. Dunno if this heralds a general price drop, but it's still full price everywhere else I look. Plus if you prefer the regular packaging to the Greatest Hits packaging (which it will surely eventually become), it's a good time to score it.
I was very tempted. Then I looked up the Qt3 leaderboard for Culdcept Saga, and I saw that most people out of the 36 here who played the game didn't play it for very long. Only about 5 people here seem to have put a lot of time into the game, everyone else moved on pretty quickly.
I keep meaning to jump back into this, but real life and such keep getting in the way. Know that I will be playing this a lot once I'm able. Besides, I have no regrets buying it on Day 1 at full price. If you enjoy this type of game, it's a no-brainer purchase at $26 + no tax + free shipping.
Picked up a brand new wrapped copy of Universe at War (PC, not 360) for $5 bucks at the Salvation Army near my house. They did have two more copies, too.
Target @ NW Highway and Skillman had Gengi, FEAR, and several sports games for PS3 for $15. For the 360, Naruto, Def Jam Icon, PGR4, and Stranglehold were $15 each.
Target @ Cityplace had Orange box for PS3 for $30.
Stranglehold and Naruto for $15? I'd pay $15 for 7s.
Is $17.96 a good price for World In Conflict (PC of course)? Is that game any good? I read it was a real time strategy game with no base building, ala Ground Control (same developer). Point system. Just what I was looking for, actually. Reviews are decent. Any impressions?
You could mosey on over to the WiC thread...
Since ElG didn't mention where to find it: Amazon has WiC for $18.
GoGamer has Arcanum for $12.90 as part of the Madness deal. I'm picking it up, mostly because I never did before and heard it was pretty good.
I picked up Crackdown there yesterday - for $4.98! Turns out that it had been mislabeled, and should have been 14.98, but they gave it to me for the marked price without any hassle. I don't know if it was an honest mistake or whether I intercepted an unofficial employee discount, but either way, a great deal. Now all I need is a 360...
I also saw Genji PS3 there for 14.98, but even that wasn't enough to get me to bite.
