I hope Walmart doesn't honor any of those prices.... since I missed out on the ordering window... bah humbug.
Bah of course I overslept and it's too late for SSBB. Condemmed 2 is still $20 on the 360, and $60 on the ps3. Any indication if it's going to be good?

Well, it's been six hours since I placed my order and I haven't gotten an "Oops! We goofed!" e-mail from Walmart yet. But that's hardly proof of anything. It looks like all of the prices have been pulled from the website, so clearly Walmart caught their errors. We'll see if they cancel all these pre-orders.Originally Posted by pfreak

One saying that my Turok order was canceled.
Another saying that they had received my request to cancel my entire order (all 4 games), and would let me know if they can cancel the order in time.
I just want to call them up and say "I didn't request a cancellation, I swear!" "For the love of god, keep my order active. Take your stupid Turok, I don't need it. Just give me the other three games".
If it's their screw-up, don't they have to honor the price?
Yes.
Also if you're ever doing anything illegal, make sure to ask the cop if they're a cop. Because they have to answer yes, no matter what! Otherwise it's entrapment!
So, do they not have to honor the price?
That is correct.
You learn something new everyday, huh:
AS in a retail store, the price shown is an 'Invitation to Treat', you may make an offer to purchase the item at that price, however the retailer is under no obligation to accept.
Uh no.
Check out the site. Probably have some legal disclaimer againts mistakes. Same way if some place releases and ad with the wrong price they can place a notice saying it was a mistake by the front of the store and not have to honor the error.Originally Posted by MyNameIsWill

Pricing Information
While Walmart.com strives to provide accurate product and pricing information, pricing or typographical errors may occur. Walmart.com cannot confirm the price of an item until after you order. In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, Walmart.com shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. In the event that an item is mispriced, Walmart.com may, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
We strive to provide you with the lowest prices possible on Walmart.com as well as in our stores. However, sometimes a price online does not match the price in a store. In our effort to be the lowest price provider in your particular geographic region, store pricing will sometimes differ from online prices. Our stores do not honor Internet pricing or competitor advertisements from outside of a store's local trade territory.
CYA policy.
They don't have to sell it to you at that price if it's a pricing error.
Now on the other hand if you are in the store and you take something up the reigster and it rings up for less then it should they do have to sell you that item for the price it rang up.
This item varies state by state. An example:

Just yesterday in Raley's (a local supermarket chain) I noticed a safety-yellow colored sticker on the checkout counter advising me that the store is required to honor posted/stickered prices on everything in the store. I don't know if this is a CA state thing or what. Also, I imagine this only covers pricing as marked in the store; newspaper ads, websites, etc. probably have exceptions.
But if you place the item in your "shopping cart," and then you "check out" and "give them your credit card information," hasn't the retailer already accepted by that point?AS in a retail store, the price shown is an 'Invitation to Treat', you may make an offer to purchase the item at that price, however the retailer is under no obligation to accept.
No. Not until they've "charged the card" and hopefully then "shipped the product".
Target had Tony Hawk's Proving Ground Limited Edition for the 360 for $14.95 yesterday. It was on a back clearance rack. I didn't spot any other cheap games though.
Bioshock for the PC is $25 at Target. Finally picked up my copy on Saturday, to add to the backlog.
Gogamer now has The Witcher for $30, fyi. The uncensored edition is still $50.
Valkyrie Profile 2 for $30 from Amazon. This one's gotten hard to find new, so snag it while you can if you want it.
Thanks for the reminder. Snagged the next-to-last one at the Cityplace Target and got Stuntman Ignition for the same price.Originally Posted by ryan
Also, they had lots of copies of The Bigs for PS3 at $15.
Check your local K-Mart. I just got this for $14 there.Originally Posted by unbongwah
I just got an email from Walmart apologizing for their pricing error from last week. They sent me a $10 coupon in apology. That was nice of them.
Same here. It's a classy offer.
Mm. I wouldn't go that far. It gets you coming back to their site and probably spending more money there than they're giving away, especially if there's any sort of condition on how that $10 applies. It's smart.
There's no condition except you have to spend it at their site, obviously. I was thinking of getting my next two paperback books there. That way instead of $13, it'll only cost me $3 to get two paperbacks.Originally Posted by malkav11
Just got Titan Quest from A to Z for $2. Any Boston-area Qt3ers should consider swinging by there on Saturday mornings. They get stuff Target's tired of stocking. I got Civ4 and Pirates! there for $2 each last week. I also got a new Wiimote for $20 and they had Guitar Hero III for $45, but I bet it's long gone.
I've never been there before, but I'll check it out now! Thanks for the heads up.Originally Posted by bahimiron
