Sad to say I still read it, but I have no idea why I do. I like the general idea behind it, but he's gone an made it such a muddling mess that it's really hard to try and keep track of the factions involved and who's who. That being said, I do like the recent way Parson's tackled the problem of winning.
I didn't start reading Erfworld. It was below my standards.
Back to OOTS:
It's ON!
I'm excited stuff is happening, but man I can't wait to see Roy in the actual flesh again.
It'll turn out that Rich himself has gone evil. "A Lot Can Happen in Ten Minutes" actually refers to that the ten minutes it'll take to raise Roy will actually play out over the next calendar year's worth of strips.
hahahahahaha
I like Erfworld. It had a very bad start, with far too little being shown to the reader. It still sometimes has that problem. But I don't have trouble following it anymore. I like the world, I like the main cast, and the humor is more hit than miss for me.
I also like Ochul spending his time in captivity educating the MITD. I don't think it's going to completely pay off the way he hopes. The MITD may decide not to be Xykon's pawn, but that doesn't mean he won't embrace his ancestral nastiness, whatever that might be (tarrasque).
I have this sneaking suspicion that if I look at the Go board the right way, a clue about the MITD lurks there.
Yeah, I'll own up to some secret Erfworld love as well.
Erfworld started out atrocious but it's gotten a lot better. I still have no plans to actually check it on its own page, though... I only read it because it was there every time I fired up OotS.
It's a typical non-go-player attempt at a go board, though not quite as bad as the terrible layouts in the movie Pi. If it was a real game, both players would be 30-kyu or something like that, just barely having learned the rules.
I like Erfworld too. I want to find out where this world came from, who the Titans are, etc. etc. etc. The slow updates would be painful if I really cared about it, but as long as I visit the site for OOTS, it's fine if there is an update, but not a big loss if there isn't.
Erfworld's spun off into its own site, so you'll need to make an extra effort to stay in sync. I will but, much like Heroes, I frequently ask myself why.
What extra effort? The erfworld comic is still on my oots page bookmark: http://www.giantitp.com/Comics.html -- erfworld.com's existence doesn't confront me :)
Yes, the reason we're talking about Erfworld is because I mentioned that fact in this post
Book 1 of Erfworld will continue to be released first on Giantitp.com until it's completion. Starting with Book 2 it'll be exclusive to their new domain.Originally Posted by Miramon
yeah, but the "both players" part is what sticks out.
Perhaps the other dude has been subtly manipulating the play in order to get the board to end up in a formation from which he can draw a persuasive point to illustrate to the monster the nature of his servitude? Given that persuading the monster to switch sides is probably a higher priority for him than winning a game of go...
Uh yeah, otherwise he might lose to the monsters or something? You seem to be entirely missing that white isn't trying to win at Go.
Surprised nobody has commented that we're apparently heading for a V versus Creature in the Darkness fight? The CitD is the only thing we've seen so far that could give Super Saiyan V a run for his money. I actually hope we DON'T get a reveal on CitD, though.

Apparently Redcloak has prepared and Xykon has just the spell required.
GO TEAM EVIL!
Man, I've missed these guys.
