Oh there's going to be some ass kicking now!

Though the passcode thing went right over my head, no idea what that was about.

Wasn't there a passcode required to remove the curse?

See comic 602 for the passcode business. Basically, the Mark of Justice can only be removed when said passcode is said, and this cleric in a smidgeon of D.E.M. knows it. Beyond that, looks like I called it.

Awesome. And of course, the passcode is something invented by the guy our own Belkar was hallucinating. So of course it fits in perfectly with the plot.

...it'd be more impressive if he hadn't revealed this a mere 8 strips ago. I'm starting to think he kinda wrote himself into a corner without a clear plan and is having to try and figure out what to do next. Thus the blab from Roy about Durkon being "Base."

(Edit: I should add... it's not that I'm complaining. Not like it's the worst webcomic I read or anything...)

    Say It!

Now I just need a mod for Storm of Zephir that adds the Sexy Shoeless God of War prestige class...

I heart Belkar. I'm really anxious to see the next strip, which is unusual. I hope it's not one of those that takes two weeks to get here.

This is what it must be like to be a football (soccer) fan. It's like he knows the exact number of strips with which he can push me to never click that link again and stops bullshitting at n-1.

Well I'll be, that one was good. Been a while!

It's funny that he calls Belkar a one sided character, when Belkar is possibly the most iconic and memorable character in the story. Also funny:

Isn't the point that strips like this one are so good because he's spent the time doing the setups? I know it gets frustrating waiting ages for what feels like filler, but viewed as part of a fucking awesome whole I have no problems with the ones that are less than WHAM BAM.

Exactly. As I've said before, if you don't like the pacing, don't read the strip for a couple months, then catch up in one big blast. You'll discover that the arcs read perfectly that way.

So the guy that puts it on always uses the same passcode? I guess that's easier as long as the passcode doesn't become common knowledge (which apparently it has).

If you're wondering how he eats or breathes, or other science facts, repeat to yourself that it's just a show, and I should really just relax.

I'm thinking that perhaps that's sweating the details a little too much.

    Hoo boy.

Edit: From the OOTS forums, "Belkar is essentially, all the spartans from 300, compressed and with more shirt."

I've got to say Roy. I have no idea wether his BAB is better (though his weapon certaintly is), meaning in a straight fight it might go either way in service of plot. Its just he's a lot smarter, wiser and more likely to have a cleric or arcane caster to buff before hand.

Personally, I've never really liked Belkar as a character. The unrepentent murderous thing is good for a random chuckle, but compared to the eternally scheming Lord Kabuto, he's second fidle in my not so humble opinion. I guess I just find Lawful Evil more interesting.
