I wish I could get to the end. I am still stuck in the sniper town section of the game :x

Those snipers are so damned annoying. They have pinpoint accuracy and you can't see them. You have to sprint out into the open look for them to fire and give away their position then reload the game when you die and try to take them out. That was not my idea of fun gameplay.

Yes, that made it seem unfinished, and I found it extra frustrating after the difficulty in the ending sequence.

As far as Snipertown, there was an article in a recent CGW that showed the location of every sniper on those levels, including maps screenshots (written by Thierry Nguyen, IIRC, so he may have some additional insight). I only remember one or two snipers in particular giving me fits (especially one near the start that is behind foliage on a distant roof), both were essentially invisible.

They said sniper accuracy & vision has been toned down for the expansion.

This game is on sale for $17.90 at http://www.gogamer.com -- one of the 48 hour madness deals perhaps. Just FYI.

Snipers in computer games are probably used to promote a sense of dread and foreboding. Of course, there is a fine line between suspense and frustration. You want to give the player the illusion that he/she might die at any moment, but you don't actually want to kill the player at any moment.

I think it would have been far more suspenseful to have done it Saving Private Ryan style, with a sniper in a tower that you have no way to engage until you can make your way through the town and fight him at close quarters with a tommy gun. Enh, whatever.
