Anyone else here play One Piece Mansion?

Picked this up last night for 11 dollars. It's a puzzle game by Capcom. The goal is to build apartment complexes out of eccentric residents. Each resident makes noise/trouble or releases positive vibes in certain directions. The key being to arrange the residents so that they aren't totally bothering each other.

Of course there needs to be some opposition. Several kinds of squatters drop into your complex frequently, and the only way to get them to leave is by pissing them off. So you work the opposite for them. Put a couple sumo wrestlers in there to make his stress level go up. You also have to keep an eye on them because these guys not only put out stress, but also run around terrorizing other apartments through the whole complex.

There are also bosses that drop in and squat, creating havoc with various supernatural powers. For example one boss can create thunder and lightning by shaking his spoon, this strikes at rooms all over the complex, so getting him to leave is important.

Residents can also be affected by sickness, stress, financial problems, fire, and a few other things I haven’t seen in action myself like FREEZE which disables the affects a resident has on the people around them. A pain I suspect for the girl resident that lowers the stress of everyone around her. There's also an 'on the fritz' status for robot residents. In this situation the resident will randomly switch where it puts out stress.

Really cool game so far, just curious, anyone have hot tips? I usually swap my offensive residents off a lot since the evil squatters tend to annoy my sumo wrestlers as much as my sumo wrestlers annoy them. So I usually swap a calm sumo from another part of the complex for the annoyed on.

It's a Capcom puzzler for the PSOne, released late last year under a radar buzzing with post-launch hype. Pretty charming and quirky game.

I have seen it in the store 20 times and almost pick it up every time. If it is 11 bucks now and there is any fun in it, I think I will grab it.

While we are on the subject of the slowly rotting PS, has anyone here played Pipe Dreams or Saiyuki?

Pipe Dreams is a 3D remake of the old NES pipe building game and I want to find it if it is any good.

Saiyuki is an RPG/Strat title that I believe is a little like a Suikoden/FFT mix.

I understand Square is working on PS1 ports of Final Fantasy I & II (original release on the NES). I've got my fingers crossed for a FF Archive style release stateside. Updated graphics (mostly based on the Wonderswan Color version I think) and new CG intro/endings.

It's older than that, right? I seem to remember a computer game by the same name.

I think so. I first played it on the NES though and it was a lot of fun.

I always find old games like these for $10 to $20, think, "Wow what a bargain", buy them, and then never play them.

That's the one great thing about playing games on old systems. Even if you're Ebaying them, you can often spend $5.00 on something you'll get hours of play out of.
