    GRAW PC - can't install?

Hey, I finally bought GRAW for the PC and it won't let me install it. It says my CD key is invalid. Not its printed on the back page of the manual just fine. I have tried typing it in lowercase, uppercase, copy and paste, had the wife read it out, had the wife type it in, with hypens, without hyphens, and pretty much every other crazy idea I could come up with.

Anyone else had this problem? This is honestly the first time I have ever came up against such a blocker of a game issue.

OK, well that was actually rather simple. Contacted Ubi Tech Support and while the issue is not on in the knowledge base, they got back to me this morning with this:

To resolve this problem, please follow these directions:

    1) Download the GRAW_KeyFix.zip from http://help.support.ubi.com/GRAW_KeyFix.zip and extract the files into a folder on your desktop.
    2) Put the Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter CD/DVD (disk 1) in the drive.
    3) Exit out of the autorun menu (don't lunch the setup from the autorun).
    4) Launch the provided GRAW_KeyFix.exe (two DLL files have also been included in case they are needed)
    5) When prompted to do so, locate the setup.exe file from the game disk.
    6) Continue with the setup as usual.
    Thanks Ubi Support!

That is a funky issue. I had trouble installing it at my dad's house earlier this year (the installer would error out). I had to delete the installshield folder in the programs directory to fix it.

chalk up another deal breaking fuckup. Go through this a couple more times and you might have another console convert. I know that the GL error in Riddick had me breathing pretty heavy for about an hour, before I found the third part fix. We shouldn't have to deal with this kind of nonsense. GRAARRR!

Yeah, that was the InstallShield -6001 error, which was it trying to update itself or something.
