this thread
When people fail to search and start a new thread that is already underway.
Two words: Post from-viral-marketing-fanboys (note hyphens)
Responding to a post with name calling... and nothing else
People who won't let it go (okay, we get it. You like Fallout)
People who are clearly in the wrong and just won't admit it
Childish use of curse words (shit bonerz not included)
People who hijack threads
Back and forths that should be moved to PM
Poll questions that shouldn't be.
How Tom just floats in and out
We all have buttons. And sometimes people push 'em, even in this cyber utopia that is Qt3.
Some here are clearly annoyed when someone posts a thread that has already been discussed (lamenting gaming journalism, questioning why some games that should have been remade haven't been, etc).
Others get annoyed when multiple thread topics get started (ChromeHounds is great! The problems with ChromeHounds. Who is this ChromeHounds character anyway?)
Others are just angry people it seems who have their own unique triggers (I HATE that font!)
Whatever the case, what's your Qt3 pet peeve?
this thread
Mine: lame and obvious two-word responses
You left out "people who know they're right and never get tired of telling you that."
People who predict all of life's answers in their blog... and then always feel the need to post those predictions when a select few come somewhat true?

I voted even though all of those poll options describe me. Well, except for the Tom one.
The snark, man, the snark.
Great forum, tragic flaw. Oh well.
Hmm? I wasn't playing the two word game :POriginally Posted by Jake Plane
meta polls
My peeve is the seemingly arbitrary 5-character minimum length requirement for posting.
I like all those things.
Shit, man - the snark is what keeps me here. Well, that and the potential for more pictures of Fire's ass.Originally Posted by Gordon Cameron
I hate the freaking "quote somebody, edit what they said and then append FIXED" tactic.
Pisses me off to no end and it's not even an option.
Were I more ambitious, I'd quote the poll choices, add the above option and then say FIXED. So consider that one penciled in.
Without the snark, how could we all passively-aggressively attempt to assert our intellectual, cultural, and political superiority over everyone else here, while pretending to remain a convivial community?Originally Posted by Gordon Cameron

(If I could edit the poll options, I definitely would; I HAAAAAATE that)
My only peeve with qt3 is the herd mentality that leads to half the threads in the game forum being about one game, as well as largely unremarkable games getting covered in so much spooge that they turn into sacred cows (made of spooge).

Although it can sometimes be fun (Jose Liz), the obligatory dogpile on any new postee unfortunate to break some unwritten QT3 rule would probably be my choice.
Must be getting soft in my old age.
Me, too. :-(Originally Posted by Flowers
That's by design. You can let people pick multiple times.
