    Turning jpgs into movies

I have a bunch of photos I'd like to turn into movies, ie take the still and put a soundtrack over it. Any idea how to do that without spending any money? Picasa does a great Ken Burnsy job of movie-izing a bunch of photos, but hasn't got the flexibility I need. Simple job - 30 sec sound clip, with the same photo showing the whole time, into an mpeg.

    Any help much appreciated!

Flash can do it, but it cost money and I don't know if it can export to a mpeg.

Ulead Video Studio can do that for you.
    It's music friendly too.

Windows Movie Maker is free, comes built into Windows XP and will mostly do what you want. It doesn't save to MPG, though, just WMV or DV-AVI. You could always edit the movie in WMM, save it out to DV-AVI (full quality) and then use a third party tool like TMPGEnc to convert DV-AVI to MPG if you absolutely need MPG format.

Adobe Premiere Elements is another good option if you want to spend $100-ish dollars (or just use the 30 day download demo, if this is a one off type of thing).
